“City Matters” fan committee

Turning to home tickets for Champs League games, before this season people on the CL scheme got a fiver off the extra tickets they bought for home games, as well as their own seat. This might have been a mistake on City’s part but it was welcome all the same. As someone who buys several tickets for most CL home games, this has been a fairly significant price increase.

I'm sure the ones who get tickets for away games that they wouldn't normally be able get won't take that view.

And I've checked the available minutes which don't mention ID checks and we certainly didn't bring it up in our package of measures. The club email system is crap and I can't find the last set but they (the club) were talking about them.
Regardless of who brought it up ,you seem to be supporting id checks, instead of getting them off the table like match attending away fans want.
Isnt the idea you represent the majority of our views .not just give lip service to what city want ?

Fair point I dont go to games away, and when I have got tickets have probably benefited from the cumrrent system So maybe I should stay out of that debate, so I will.
Just seems this is the overiding debate and think its overshadowing all the other things that are being discussed, or I presume are being discussed. To be fair PB seems as far as I can see to be the only one reporting back from the meetings, I’d like to know what else is being talked about as well as whether a couple of hundred should show id or not. Even if it only the price of a pie.
I don’t think you should drop out of the discussion, you make some good points and are right to question what posters are saying.
I just took exception to the ‘shouting loudest’ and defended that.

So some of the genuine lads who have amassed over 21k points through going to Swansea, Middlesbrough, Portsmouth etc etc on a shitty Tuesday or Wednesday night miss out on going to Klanfield or the swamp due to a lottery to to someone who’s been going since 2011??, give over!!
I think it's a good idea. Why should someone be penalised because they're young? Maybe some people's situation's havechanged and they can go to games now, why should they not have the opportunity to go to away games? Oh, and I choose not to go to away games because I'm lazy and can't be arsed.

Everything these reps do on away tickets only seem to effect the loyalty card holders.
Can one of the reps please answer the question that has been raised at least 6 times
WILL THESE PROPOSALS EFFECT EVERY GROUP WHO RECEIVE TICKETS.
A straight yes or no will do or have you something to hide.

Don't ask too many times or he'll block you

Anyone who had such an agenda on away tickets and points whores was always going to be dangerous getting involved in this. More fool those of us who voted for him

Has the club indicated that they will investigate how tickets supposedly end up on various ticket sites and why large blocks of empty seats sometimes occur at away games - Bournemouth being the most recent. Can they also end the practice of guaranteeing away tickets for sponsors moving forward. Also if there is a ballot for the younger supporter what would happen if for instance my two kids apply and only one gets one. If they then decide they don’t want to go alone what happens to that ticket? Does it go back into a ballot, sold to points holders or given to corporate. Will it then affect future ballots i.e. will they be blacklisted.

There is plenty of opportunities for everyone to go to away games, how many this season have gone to open sale?, it’s the so called called big game, Utd, Liverpool etc etc where they don’t get tickets and the argument just starts all over again, I’m not saying for one minute don’t let the young people go, I’m saying no way should the lads who have got their points the hard way by watching us when we were garbage should miss out

Could someone post the link to the minutes of the meetings please as I can’t find them . I am hoping I find out who brought up the subject of id checks and will all groups be impacted as this just didn’t appear on the table there must of been a discussion on it. Also did the committee vote on this being accepted and if so who voted for / against the proposal ?

Squirtyflower and me have had this conversation a number of times and we both reckon there's less than 1,000 people who are genuinely regulars. They won't miss out.

I support the view that tickets should be bought by people who use them, rather than those who sell them on to keep their points total up. I also support reasonable methods to enforce that. I suspect that's very much a majority view.

I suspect that’s the majority view is a bit of a twist in the wind there
We all accept the only people who should go are the ones who should be allowed tickets, although corporate, Supporters Club and Players allocations excepted. Ie the seasoncard holders are all points whores.

However you have very little support for ID checks as hardly anyone feels that’s a reasonable enforcement measure.

I love the fact that you used the word ‘enforcement’. Thatcher’s Britain alive and well in the brave new world of the City Matters forum.

So does that exempt those 1000 genuine regulars from having to produce ID

What abt folk who are 25-30...30-35...Should they be part of this ballot?

Too late for that one, we’ve lost that already
Why is that then....I wasn't asked my opinion or to vote? Not sure anyone was.
I will say again..40% of away tiks do not go on sale to season card holders...therefore to take 150 tiks from that 60% is wrong...scandalous imo
