“The allegations made against us and the subsequent hysterical reaction they have caused has made the club's owners and executives even more determined to turn City into the club that the Abu Dhabi United Group envisaged when they took over 10 years ago."

Don’t know what to expect to be honest just have to wait and see.

I did read somewhere a statement from Etihad airways re the sponsorship deal which simply said its accounts are filed which clearly shows its income and costs including the Man City sponsorship within its trading figures!

Yes, very reassuring. Mansoor is going nowhere.

When judgement was given in the Bosman case UEFA, who claimed that European law was irrelevant as it was a football matter, was warned very bluntly that in cases of dispute the matter would be decided according to what the law was, not according to what UEFA saw as its own or football's best interests.
This is why to cover their ass, they ask clubs to go to task for their appeal.
A club could go to European Court but, during the trial, UEFA threatens to expel you from the competition. Since it will take years, it is a good enough deterrent for them. No club want to miss european competitions for years.
The only way it could happen is if they sanction PSG or City too much so that they feel they don't have much to lose anymore.

Its looking like our club are keeping their powder dry , they will be noting the libelous statements various outlets are making and when we prove our innocence i am sure they will be made to pay by the club , our club is showing a firm reponse and will not give an inch to UEFA,F.A.etc., and the hysterical ramblings from the media.

Theoretically PSG could get an injunction from the French courts and CAS preventing UEFA from applying sanctions while the case went through the ECJ. Would need a bit of political capital but Qatar seem to have it in France.

At the time OM cheated and got punished, they wanted to bring their case to court.
There is rumours that UEFA and then FIFA threaten French Federation of Football if they didn't make OM comply.

Also, remember the Fc Sion case versus UEFA. UEFA made them their bitch.

FFF can be threatened, but get a national court to back you and UEFA will find their manners.

Did you read the link with FC Sion case ? They got raped left and right despite swiss court.

https://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2011/0913/284771-sion_celtic/ A Swiss regional court has ordered UEFA to re-admit Sion to the Europa League group stages, according to the club.
"The civil court has this morning ordered UEFA to admit FC Sion as a participant in the 2011-12 Europa League and to take all the measures necessary to include them in Group I of the UEFA Europa League for which FC Sion have qualified.
"The order has been declared immediately binding."

They didn't actually have the backing of a Swiss national court mate.
Yeah, they had swiss regional court backing only and when it went further, the court decided to side with CAS.

So, why is it sure that French court wouldn't do the same ?

Political capital and the fact that an EU court has stricter antitrust/competition/investment laws than a Swiss one.

But, in the meantime, they can still put you out of the competition.
They didn't let Sion come back during all the court battles.
This was UEFA stance back then : "This is ultimately about protecting clubs, the players and football itself," Platini said in a statement. "We cannot accept that if one individual club does not get its own way then it goes through any possible system to force its will on the others."

I can clearly see the same words uttered if PSG or City were to file a complaint in a civil court.
