Precisely and that is how she has painted herself into this corner by putting together to resolve party issues. Its a pig in a poke of a deal that solves nothing only creates more division.

May's red lines were purely decorative, 2 years of negotiations are just a fiction. It was clear just weeks after the referendum the EU would do nothing to help the UK leave, it would be ridiculous for them to do so. Their position was get their danegeld and to push everything into the transition stage - delaying our break for 2 years in their interests - except for the sabotage back stop clause which effectively gives them a huge advantage in future trade negotiations and in so doing to hobbles Brexit.

I suppose if you see everything through the prism of the EU being the enemy or somehow to blame for all our ills then that might make some sense but you won't be surprised to hear that I think everything you have said there is bollocks.

I have no doubt they loathe us now and would love to get Brexit done because as a nation we have behaved like absolute dick heads but I think they have broadly speaking been very reasonable thus far albeit they have (perfectly reasonably) put their own interests ahead of ours when push comes to shove. But I assume you'd agree that only the most deluded of British people would think we should expect them not to put their interests ahead of ours.

It is not that the sccophants cannot - some perhaps cannot, but for others I suspect that it is just an inconvenient truth they would rather not face up to even so it will cause major damage to their nation

May I add a serious lack of judgement because if you can't see the way that deal was constructed was all around saving her party and herself then you must be blind. The only saving grace in the house of commons is that Bercow grows a pair and tells her that her deal is dead and that you can't keep pushing for another vote on her deal to bludgeon it through fatigue.
