Saúl Ñíguez

Incredible player, been a favourite of mine for years. If we could pull this off it would be massive but I can't see him leaving for much less than 100 millions.

Interestingly enough, Barcelona have a first right of refusal on the player should Atletico decide to sell - this clause was part of the 2013 deal that saw David Villa transferred at a lower fee

Having said that, not sure if even at a discounted €80m Barcelona would be tempted despite having coveted the player for years. I think he's excellent and would be interesting to see how he would do in a more offensive set up

80m ?

From what I have seen , he doesn't play the fernandinho role

Ndombele better option ?

Never occurred to me he would come onto the market, seems Atletico are being rumoured with many departures now - Simeone soon to be on the move as well?

That being said, Saul Niguez would be an excellent alternative to Ndombele and apparently cheaper - sounds like a no brainer really.

Window doesn't open until July 1and considering investigations are potentially looming, any deal would merely be an agreement in principle - predicated on the outcome of these investigations

Come on guys weve been here before lets not kid our selves we know its not going to happen, now the cats out of the bag some other clubs will jump in while were still thinking about it. "Typically"

read the report in Full... interesting that the story is not from Mark Odgen , but from the Barca Correspondent Sam Marsden who is a decent source .

"Saul had been open to a move to Barcelona but his people have now informed the Catalan club his final destination will be Manchester."

Guess we will know better soon enough , what happens regarding the transfer ban.

A brilliant player, very technical, excellent passer
Not a classic DM, not so physically but more a Busquets-style player like Pep likes.
I think he will be perfect for us

No, Marsden is not a decent Barcelona source
