FA Cup Semi Final draw - Brighton

A lot less disgusting than the £50 that we're charging for Spurs when Utd charging £28 plus for Barcelona. Plenty of tickets at £30 at Wembley
United are charging a minimum of £35 against Barcelona exactly the same as City are for Spurs.

you could be right, but looking on facebook etc and social media, its more a cannot be arsed attitude. Its not about Wembley for me, its about City being on the brink of history, everything in place, we should be bouncing for it, to get the team over the line. Win 4 trophies, we can dine out on it forever.
The club should have helped the fans on this one though, that would be a great gesture, but doesnt look forthcoming.

I don't think the club could do anything with the ticket prices as the FA sets these. Assisted travel would be an option but not much use for those who don't want to (or can't) travel by coach from the Etihad.
Maybe the tickets for the Spuds CL home leg could have been priced lower but would a tenner or so really make that much difference to anyone also going to Wembley ?
I agree that this is an opportunity for City to really make history and I wouldn't miss it for the world.

The £30 are in a diffrenet time zone. It would be good if city only take 10k, send a message to the FA to stop robbing fans.

City and Utd rip fans off too but doesn't make it better when the FA do.

I looked at the prices and they are hardly expensive when taking general football ticket prices into account. It's the travel costs and time that's awkward.

I think I am going to do it on the cheap with £30 ticket and a coach down. Maybe cost me £60 once tube costs taken into account, not much more than my own seat for Spurs at City.

Great!

Bee Gees, Take That, M People, Kavana, Nothern Uproar. I suppose there are some half decent bands from the area like the Hollies and Herman and the Hermits, and some of Peter Noone's solo stuff was okay.

Patronising as fuck.

The £30 tickets are more or less in Finsbury Park, the game is at Wembley, but I belive there is a big screen you can watch the game on.

some people like myself aren't bothered about paying an extra fiver or tenner mate, we just want to follow City, if you cant afford it well im sorry
for that, but don't wish we only take 10k the FA wont change the prices on account of how many City fans are at Wembley.

Totally agree with you.
Us fans are never thought of by the FA or our clubs it's all about the £££££.
Imigine the media coverage of us not selling out at wembley. They will have a field day.

The league cup final didn't sell out overall, I think there was 84,000 in a 90,000 capacity stadium, although I believe we sold our allocation. Live on the BBC, shit kick off time and sandwiched between loads of games, a trip to Wembley only a few weeks ago, I doubt it will sell out. People don't have limitless funds, something has to give.

We are slowly building a global fanbase. I watch Ian Cheeseman's vlogs and fans from all over who have only recently started supporting us have featured a few times. Soon we will have that huge worldwide support that the rags and dippers do. Until.then it is mainly hard working Mancs with as I said limited funds.

I am sure we will sell at least 20-25,000 which all things considered would be great. Lower prices would have helped and possibly free travel from the club but it is what it is.

it wouldn't be great, the only way to attract new fans is to sell out at places like Wembley, if we have 10-15k empties against Brighton who will probably sell out, it will be fucking embarrassing.

We won't we will probably sell at least 25,000. I don't think it would be embarrassing, people don't have endless amounts of money. A 17:30 kick off time is shit for fans who have to travel 200 miles home, especially if it goes to extra time and penalties.

Can I ask, are you going ?

I haven't decided yet. I had to take early retirement from work two years ago and my income obviously took a huge hit. I have kept my season ticket going and was at the final last month. I have a few family occasions this year too which will hit my pocket. The pull to go is strong obviously but this might be a step too far. I know some long standing fans who have missed some finals, even going back as far as the Sunderland one, which I found incredible after being starved of any success for years. Are you going?

Bloody hell early retirement, sorry to hear that. I didn't go to the LC final I had to work, so im going to this with a mate of mine.
Its going to be a very expensive season for all blues, if we can sell 30k of the 33k we will receive I think that's a good uptake, anyway im sorry if I came across all boisterous in a reply, get well soon blue.

It's okay we all get a little passionate and at times heated, following football is a passionate business. The endless shit that gets spouted about our attendance's and empty seats doesn't help when ticket sales are discussed. If you look at a lot of criticism that comes our way on social media it is usually from fan's located outside the UK who have probably never been to a game in their lives.

On the whole our fans are local and working class. It is slowly expanding but the stick they use to beat us with is actually a source of pride. It proves that unlike the number counting clubs we have very few glory hunters in our ranks. I am not opposed to new fans though, we were hardly going to attract many when Stuart Pearce was manager, it was hard enough for me to sit through that football lol. I think it is great to hear fans talk about us with all the awe and excitement I felt as a kid when I first started. Hopefully they will fall in love with the club like we all did and stick around if we fall on hard times again, though I hope obviously those days never return, fun as they were at times.

Funnily enough the cause of my finishing work early was an injury sustained supporting City but I can't elaborate on it due to ongoing legal reasons. That hasn't diminished my love for the club though.

Don't sweat on the small stuff like not selling out tickets etcetera. Life is too short and most of us were there at Walsall, Oxford, Shrewsbury away in the old third division. We sold out 46,000 for the play off final and could probably have doubled that. Enjoy the day, hopefully a City win and savour all these magical times we have earned every minute.
