Ben Chilwell

We have Zin and 50 million Mendy
If we sign De Ligt we can play with 3 at the back
Laporte- Stones-De Ligt
For me its better than Chilwell as a LB
We have played 3atb one time this season or something, and there`s probably a good reason why Pep haven`t done it more. Another defender means we would have to sacrifice an attacking player (unless you play a winger as wing-back)

3 at the back wasn't a vehicle for more centre halves when we played it anyway - it was a way of freeing up Mendy. It doubt it'll be near the top of any transfer planning considering his availability record

If he costs more than 40m then it's a big waste of money, and I doubt Leicester would sell for that low.

I hope Pep and the club see what we already have in Angelino; would please many fans if we brought him back (also Homegrown).

Would rather we save money on LB and use it to buy a DM, it seems almost all of our DM options will cost atleast like 70m, and with our financial constraints it seems more sensible to do this.

Yes,we backed the manager.
And would you say they were good decisions? Sometimes the manager and the club make mistakes. Same as you and I do. I'd even say our current manager, the best manager in the world, isn't always correct. He went all in for Claudio Bravo as our goalkeeper and while a good man, and a good servant to the club I don't think he's what Pep thought he'd be. Pep wanted Sanchez and he's a shell of his former self.

I, myself, don't think Chilwell is the answer for us. He's especially not the answer at the price Leicester would likely want.

If his name was Chiwellino more posters on here would want him. He’s been great for Leicester and clearly our manager rates him ( if rumours are true)

I rate him. Think he’ll thrive with better players around him. Then again, I said the exact same thing about Mahrez so knows.

It`s the opposite. People rate him because he`s English, and there are not many good English players in football. If he was foreign no one would want him

Unfortunately just like our dealings with Spuds we’re going to get fleeced - they don’t have to sell so unless he agitates for a move and/or he’s nearing the end of his contract we’re going to have to prepare to pay over the odds.

Not that keen on Chilwell, looks bang average to me compared to what we already have..!
We currently have two midfielders doing their best to impersonate a left back while our preferred, and specialised, option recovers from what seems like a never ending list of injuries.....So,right now,he is anything but average compared to what we already have. Not that i agree with that opinion in the first place.

Chilwell is currently playing for a relatively poor team, and despite that standard he is still impressing.Put him alongside more gifted athletes and i believe we could have a similar player to the one the Dippers have discovered in Robertson.

Zinchenko is doing a brilliant job as left back, despite his preferred position in midfield, I would hardly call it impersonating the way he is performing, Mendy will be back soon, that puts Chilwell on the bench.. Horses for courses, I don't rate Chilwell as highly as you obviously do, buying him would not be good business for City in my humble opinion..

Delph did even better as a left back last season.......so while Zinchenko has adapted well, who's to say what the future will bring for a player whose natural instincts lie elsewhere? As for Mendy,i'll believe it when is see it.

We need a left back and this kid fits the profile.

We shall have to agree to differ, if Chilwell was not English, we would not even be having this conversation, he's over hyped for his nationality not his ability..!
