Has anybody said on this thread that the soldiers should face trial but the IRA members should get away with what they’ve done?
No. Has anyone said why this should be the case though?

Then you’re arguing with the wind.No. Has anyone said why this should be the case though?

Wasting your time mate and you should back out fo the thread before you blow a gasket.
Soldier F has my full support as do all our servicemen and women asked to do things on behalf of the government a majority of us couldnt even begin to imagine.
My old man did 3 tours from 1970 onwards with 2nd Battalion RRF and as i said earlier in the thread, but for my Uncle Ste who passed away today god bless him offering us a lift back to Catterick garrison in 74 my mum, me and my unborn brother would have been sat directly on top of the bomb the murdering twats blew up on the M62.
Ask any squaddie from those days what it was like going out on a brickie patrol, losing mates and knowing full well who was the bad guy but not being able to do diddly squat most of the time because of them having their hands tied behind their backs in red tape whilst the bad guys carried on murdering.
Soldier F has your full support? What precisely do you support him doing?
Murdering 17 year old kids, a fuckin shockin post which he should be ashamed of.Soldier F has your full support? What precisely do you support him doing?

I am indeed, out of here.
I've answered several questions about my thoughts on the matter but not had one reply as to why Soldier F should be treated differently to terrorist suspects.
Not one.
He was ordered to be there without adequate guidance or instructions. Trained to be aggressive shock troops and faced by an aggressive armed mob he reacted, over reacted yes but to now claim he should be treated the same as a terrorist is ridiculous.
The terrorist has usually spent a long time planning there attack, often on innocent civilians!
It's very easily found for anyone interested to look. Thanks for that. Appreciate you making the effort and posting the relevant parts.
He shot into an unarmed crowd, ignoring the fact the IRA have been let off - fuck him
Yes, he murdered people, and just to be clear so did the IRA.Unarmed?
Unarmed?
1. I'd want justice to be served on those responsible.
I've got a couple of questions for you now....
How would you feel if a member of your family had been murdered by IRA terrorists but you knew there was no possibility of justice being served due to deals put in place between the Government and the IRA, supposedly for the greater good of lasting peace in Ireland?
How would you feel if you were a member of the Armed Forces who has lost mates they've served with in terrorist atrocities and you know the perpetrators won't face justice, again due to these deals put in place, yet one of your comrades is to face trial for murder?
Why is it in the greater good to grant an amnesty (because, let's not kid ourselves here, that's what this deal between the Government and the IRA is) to suspected terrorist murderers but not to suspects who served in the Armed Forces?
It's very easily found for anyone interested to look.
Yes unarmed.
