FA Cup Final - 18/05 1700hrs

Agree with what you say.
We always go for the Cat 2 tickets as I like to be on level 1 where the atmosphere tends to be.
But for four of us that’s £460. We went for a week in Lanzarote for less than that last April!
For the Carabuo Cup Final it was £288.
And all of that is without travel.

The kids tickets are usually a tenner cheaper.
I only have one chavvy, I feel for those with more.

I came off the domestic cup schemes a couple of years ago, so currently just in the CL scheme. I've two season tickets, each with a little over 12,000 points. Any guesses what my chances are of final tickets through the normal system ?

Slim. It usually gradually goes down to quite a low points tally and the cup scheme, then anyone on the cup scheme. After that it opens to season card holders not on the cup scheme but I think that will start at a high points tally again.

i've got 5500 points season ticket not on FA cup scheme what you think chances are? guess it depends if we make CL final then a lot would prioritize that final over the FA cup.

Think Cup Final tickets will be sold before the CL semi-finals.

12,000 points is a decent amount though. I'd have thought he'd be ok with that but might only have the pick of the most expensive ones?

Thanks to those that have responded - sounds like I've a reasonable chance but no guarantee. I used to be fairly high up with points but couldn't justify platinum (which basically seems to be paying an annual premium for double points) and all the cup schemes so have slipped down the pecking order. With 40,000 season ticket holders, between those who have fewer points than me and those who don't want a final ticket, hopefully I'll be OK

I'm just glad I don't have kids because the price of a family day out, with travel, to both the semi and then the final, is simply outrageous.

Think you should be on on 12k

That's another odd one. Without sounding arrogant we seem to be at Wembley quite a lot so people stick to the same hotels etcetera. For a while we had the west stand why not just leave us in there?

Think it's easier to put the Watford fans in that end as they can get the overground straight to Wembley Central which is on that side, but yeah it's a shame as the East side is absolutely shite.

With the prices quoted, the shit K.O. time, the chaos and expense of travel, and our general apathy towards the Emperor's New Clothes that is the current Wembley experience, I cannot believe that any Seasoncard holder will not get the opportunity to buy one. This is not 2011 and the reality is that for many, Cup Final or not, Wembley has become a chore/bore.

Incidentally that does not make anyone who chooses not to attend a bad supporter, more the case of we have surpassed the period of being drunk on success and now for many the hangover has kicked in!

The police stopped fans going on the roundabout last Saturday
Drove down last week with my old man so it wasn't a roundabout kind of day. Was fun there against Chelsea though. Why'd they stop em last week, no animosity between us and Brighton. Maybe cos it was Saturday ?

I’ve no idea.
We were in a pub a couple of stops north of the stadium and was going to meet a couple of mates for a swift can before going in.
Got a text off them to say the roundabout was closed, and when we got there it was.
