Why we will win the league!

After the season long wankfest, beating Liverpool to the title would be special.

Condemning them to runners-up with 97 points would spectacular.
I think if that happened they certainly would be bothered by us, because at this moment in time we're an irrelevance to them if rawk forum is anything to go by.

Strangely calm tonight. What I realise — but I only realise it now — is that I was much more afraid of us fucking up in some way against Palace, than of Liverpool winning.
What is crystal clear to me is this: for weeks now, Liverpool have had major wobbles in virtually all of their games. Most of the time they get away with it (sometimes not). Call it luck or whatever. Who cares? Since Newcastle, we simply do not have these periods when we look very, very rocky. Even Spurs the other night, was not about a bad period of the match, but about one player, who's had a generally poor season, and who is in any case playing in a position that he was never naturally intended for, switching off for a few seconds, and letting Son into it. I do not see that we were seriously dominated by Spurs for any significant period of the match, with Ederson having to pull off last ditch world-class saves. Palace? They barely laid a glove on us. Ok, the free kick. But my point stands. You simply don't see us being dominated and putting out fires all over the pitch for ten to fifteen minute periods.
We don't look tired, in my opinion. We don't look jaded, in my opinion. Players like Sané and De Bruyne look hungry, and sharp. Sure, we've been guilty of playing certain games at a bit of a jogging pace recently — but still basically controlling the match.
We can certainly win every single league match that remains, and the F.A. Cup final. The Champions League is a somewhat different beast, because in effect you can switch off for ten seconds and go out, because the good teams left will punish you mercilessly. I don't know about that one. We'll see. It's a hell of a season…

I'm convinced they'd still have a parade for achieving 97 points and still missing out. Serious too

Like that post mate, a lot.

For all the bullshit surrounding the Dippers , they had a chance to go twelve points clear of us at one stage , and they have bottled it big time ,but nothing is mentioned about this . If we had thrown away this type of lead Pep and our players would have been crucified , but Klopp gets off scot free every time , he's spent £350m and won the grand total of fuck all.

You have to be honest; getting to 97 points, probably losing only 1 game, and still maybe not win the thing would be amazing. If that happened to us, I'd be gutted.

The media would certainly paint it as the plucky underdogs were only beaten because the oil rich baddies cheated .
Let them have the pretend moral champions title & we'll just have to make do with the real fcuking title...it'll be a tough cross to bear but i'm sure we'll handle it somehow

Me too. Has anyone ever come second with such a high points total before?

Think what happens at Brighton midweek may have a big say in it ........If somehow Cardiff win then they will be well and truly fired up for the Liverpool game .........frankly once they get that out of the way I think they will win there games ..... Hudders poor ....Newcastle and the Rafa love in ......Wolves on holiday ............ Fook me you would think that the whole of England wanted the twats to win it the way the media love in is going on ...........ffs City you gotta do it .........bad enough the Lxxds plastics are out in force without the plastic scousers joining them
Yea but if Cardiff win against Brighton it could make our job a lot harder when we play them on the Last day of the season to win the title.
