Hopefully United away will be this season’s version of the Newcastle away ‘12 and Everton away ‘14 games.

You know what as well? We might have been lucky. We were due to play United when the League Cup Final was being played. They were bang in form at that point and it would have been an incredibly tough game. They’re playing at no where near that level though now.

Hopefully things have aligned well for us.

But City have been the better team. Not the most consistent, but better.

We haven’t relied on Salah’s dives, more off side decisions in their favour, and absolute howlers from opposing keepers.

But we f***ed up over Christmas big time, losing to Palace, Leicester and Newcastle, after being 1 up in each of those games.

9 points thrown away. Or 7 points clear, with 1 game in hand, now.

Totally agree. In most years both ourselves and Liverpool would be 10 points clear minimum now. They have had a remarkable season as have we.
