Var debate 2019/20

Not until we prioritise it over every other competition. It’s no coincidence that the last two English sides to reach the final finished around 25 points off winning the league.

I don't think there were any signs of tiredness unless there was mental fatigue, which i didn't notice. Maybe team selections were wrong, by trying to do too much. The starting eleven for the first leg was bizarre and i would have started with Fernandinho and Stones tonight.

We were literally an inch or a deflection away from going through and then 9 games away from winning the lot and no-one would have been criticising then.

saw a clip on the Joe.UK site where is was obviously off his arm. For the first corner, would have been hard to pick up but it actually came off Sons knee before going out, that's was Ederson was claiming

What does my fucking head in, is that as match-going fans you still don't have a fucking clue what's going on. The rest of the fucking world is seeing replays from every fucking angle, with lines across the pitch and ultra-slow motion, but the people who actually pay the fucking money to be there are left to wait for judgement from on high, with no explanations, nothing.

I was all for it, but fuck me the application of it is fucking diabolical.

****s.
VAR might well work for somebody with a remote clutched in their paw sat at home, I see it killing the live game sadly what was the point of our celebration tonight which is what we go for, can't see me renewing for champions league next season.

Some people don't even know the rules. You're not allowed to score a goal with your arms or hand. Even unintentionally it should always be disallowed when you are attacking.

A handball (while defending) on the other hand can be unintentionally. The difference is Llorente made a goal with his hands (as a attacker), he wasn't defending the ball. It should always been disallowed. Some of you guys are stupid.

It’s not tiredness, more team selection. If we’re not in a title race then Pep goes for it in the Spurs away game.

There are none so blind as those who refuse to see.

Bluemoon nevers fails to amaze ...

I fully respect your opinion, I disagree but respect it all the same. The posters I have a problem with are the ones who posted quite clearly their opinion on 21st Feb that the Otamendi handball was deliberate but claim Llorente’s wasn’t. WUM bellends and yes a certain poster knows exactly who I mean.

No way was Otta's deliberate in my view too!

I've learned a bit about VAR tonight tho. I wondered why the ref didnt get called to the booth to review the offside. Apparently they only get to do that if the decision is subjective. Therefore, someone in the booth must have thought like you that he could have got his hand out of the way so left it to the Ref to decide.

Of the 2 decisions I'm more concerned about the offside tbh. The media are saying it was clearly off but I don't think the tech clearly shows that he was, as no-one can be sure of the moment it flicked off our player and Sergio's position at that point. If the tech can't show you that reliably (which I don't think it can) then the goal should stand for me.

He scored with his hip though. Clear as anything if ypu watch the correct replay.

Some of your are confusing why they are changing the rules. They are changing the written rules because they are too vague... not because it's allowed under the current rules. It is not.
