On out Normal day we should win 1-3.They maybe pumped up but no reason why we can't beat them.Just avoid those 2 situations - 0-0 obviously and going into meltfome like last year at Etihad.

As does any premier league game mate.

The point I was making was that I can’t see many of their players being that arsed about top 4 as they’ll be going elsewhere soon as they know it’s a sinking ship.
 
They will really want to beat us. They’ve lost too many games recently and will be well up for this. Our players have to be so focussed

No room for sloppiness or complacency.

Despite both sets of fans not wanting Liverpool to win the league the rags have their own agenda for top4.
That said they are own a bad run and we have an extra day to prepare.
Sane must start.
 
Controversial take: I think a win will do.

Of course, others may disagree.
 
We beat Spurs three times out of four, we beat the Rags, who are lower than Spurs, we lost to Leicester but they are beatable, and then we have Burnley and Brighton. we can do this.
 
I was hoping that, with no other distractions, we’d now be able to field a settled side for the remaining fixtures. However, the way some players are in and then completely out of the side makes me think we really are patching up the wounded. Save for Ederson, Walker, Laporte, Gundogan, Bernardo, and Sterling- maybe Aguero, the other starters could be anyone on Wednesday night, and they in turn could all be replaced next weekend.
 
We have a far better squad and manager than United and we are on a great run of wins whilst their form has dropped off a cliff.

So that means a guaranteed win, right? Unfortunately not as it's a derby and form can go right out of the window. Can see a nervy narrow win so be prepared to have your nerves shredded to a degree rarely encountered before.

This game form does go out the window at times,previous poster few pages back had it right,how many did we go into with hardly a prayer and come out the other end as winners,this game will be on a knife edge and won’t be helped by officials under orders to assist the rags ..
 
They will rest their big guns tomorrow ready for us on weds. Shit news we've lost Kev as he usually starts this away derby like a house on fire, we're really going to miss him. Not predicting a score, as I really don't want to jinx things. Think it will be this line up:
