All are saying they will come up strong response, maybe that is true but they have higher ceiling which is way below our higher ceiling. We should win this 1-2/1-3

I agree - where is their strong response going to come from?

I would understand if it was a one off bad result they might rebound but they've lost 8 of their last 10 games and the other 2, Watford and West Ham, were completely flukes where they were the worse side all game.

If anything a massive loss like this is just going to make their heads drop.

I think we will see a reaction from the Rags on Wednesday. I think back to that second half at the Etihad last season and it still pisses me off how we took our foot off the gas. They’re going through a shit run but you can be sure that they’ll be up for it and we need to be at it from the start.

Its a derby. Yes it is quite apparent that to say the least, they aint very good. Some may say they are an absolute pile of shit. We should be looking to replicate the putting six past the red twats. However you can bet it they wont be as shite as they apparently were today.

They need to be treated with great caution and we need to get the fuckers beat good and proper at the earliest opportunity. We need to be a couple ahead going into the last half hour. Remember they might be shit but they will always be jammy red bastards.

They may well want to be up for it, but then so should we. Ole has no idea how to organise them and we are much better 22 points and rising. The nerves will come but don't think I’ve ever been as confident 3 days before a derby.

Bad result for us today. The media will delight in demanding a response.

Irrespective of us being a superior team, we have lost to vastly inferior teams than United this season.

We will have to be at our very best and start well.

At least they won't park the bus.

So 7 defeats in 9 games wasn't enough to get a response from United's players, but 8/10 is the magic number of losses before they suddenly wake up and outplayed the best side in the country?

Is that really the logic you're going for?

United are a bad team with a bad manager. They haven't played well for months and if we lose it will be all our own fault.

Then you are clearly putting nothing in the extra motivation of a derby game and what that entails.

Please tell me again how shite like Jonny Macken, Darius Vassell and Michael Ball ever got the better of Ronaldo, van Nistelrooy, Scholes, Beckham, etc?

You know, one of the strongest teams ever seen in England.

Logic goes out of the window when such games come around, allied to obvious tiredness on our part and United playing on home territory immediately after being humiliated.

Can we win? Of course we can.

Today's result at Everton won't have made our task any easier.

This. The only debate should be Mendy vs. Zinchenko.

Rest of the line-up should pick itself.

Expecting Bernardo RW, Sterling left and a trio of Gundogan Silva & Fernandinho in midfield though. Sane hasn't been getting a look in for whatever reason - don't know why that'd change mid week.

I hope you’re right. This is a derby and it’s a chance to redeem themselves by beating their neighbours at home. With the top 4 not being a certainty this is their only chance to spoil the party. Their fans won’t want a Liverpool title but I doubt their players will give a shit.

This is the ideal game for them to turn things around. If we go there nervous and we’re not on our game we could end up with a second half like we had at the Etihad. Of course we are the better team - we need to show that from the outset.

The biggest debate about that line up is the inclusion of D Silva.
