POTY - Virgil Van Dijk

Who gets to vote in the pfa is just professionals in that league or the whole pyramid? if the latter which I think it is then you expect the lower league clubs to be littered with dipper and rag fans from their school supporting glory hunting days and they will automatically vote for their clubs top players. if it was just premier leagues players voting you would expect a truer reflection based more on their own experiences.

Raheem will walk it. The journos vote takes into account off field actvities. Raz has taken a central role in the fight against racism and has won many over for his acts of generosity. Journos maybe feeling a bit guilty for all the nonsensical criticism they gave him. Nobody deserves the accolade more.
 
Read an article stating no forward player has got the better of VVD all season. Well researched! Sane roasted him pre-season, in a cameo (15 mins) away at Clanfield and on numerous occasions in the league home game.

Hes been fantastic for them. Even if he has protection hes comfortable at the ball and anticipates lot of stuff. He reminds me of how good Toby was for us until a few bad injuries.

I really do think they should have waited until the end of the season. Laporte, Bernardo and Sterling have been great too
 
Watching the highlights back of our game in motd, and 2nd half sterling was immense

Should have won in my eyes. Top world cup and a proven winner who has improved each season he has been at our club

I watch a lot of football and seen quite a lot of Liverpool games in hope they lose mostly.
Liverpool defensively last few years have been utter shite and they relied heavily on the front 3 (still do) - the signing of Alison and particular Van Dijk is the main reason they’ve kept up this title charge - to me he looks assured, calm, strong, beats players in the air and has great positioning - id compare him to Kompany in the way he plays.
