I think the best result for us is a decent Barca win that doesn't kill the tie. Something like a 2-0 or a 3-1. At that point there's the demoralising effect of knowing you're 90% out of the tournament, but that 10% chance means you have to throw everything at the second leg.

Any result without Liverpool getting an away goal will be good. But knowing how well Liverpool attack and seeing how bad Barca defend I can’t see that happening

An away goal keeps them in the tie, a 2-0 defeat probably doesn't, as its unlikely Barca won't score in liverpool.

2-0 defeat keeps em in it enough that they will still feel the return leg is a massive game and it will be a factor in how they perform at Ncastle

Don't forget the Dippers have blown a seven or ten point (depending on who you want to believe) and we have been missing possibly our most influential players in KDB and Dinho for a lot of games , if you took VVK and Salah out of their team for any amount of games they would be totally f*cked . I've never understood that with UEFA why arent the Tuesday ties the following Tuesday and Wednesday ties on the following Wednesday, surely makes more sense to keep the spacing between the games the same for all teams
