Deal agreed with Bayern Munich for Leroy Sane - €60m (including add-ons)

He's quality at times but his consistency and work rate can be lacking. I think his consistency issues are more based on his attitude rather than his lack of appearances and ultimately if he thinks he's better going elsewhere then let him go.
 
Sane has the potential to be a genuine world class superstar but if he doesn't have the right attitude he won't ever get there. I hope he stays but if his attitude isn't right Pep will see right through him.

The comparison with Sterling is a good one. I don't think Raheem has nearly as much natural or technical ability as Leroy but you can see he has worked very hard at his game and has become a consistent player. It's up to Sane if he wants it enough. I wonder if the media campaign against Sterling fired him up to prove people wrong in a way that missing the World Cup hasn't sparked Sane to up his game. At the time I thought we'd see him smash it this season but he didn't play the first couple of games and in truth has never had a consistent run of starts.

They are different players, different positions, different priority level for the future of the team. Although we'd like to keep Gundo, given his age you could forgive him for wanting to move for more playing time and at a club that will give him more responsibility as one of their main stars.

As I said, hope it's not the case as Sané is a special player, even our rivals see his potential.

I can see that given his potential his agent may be holding out for unreasonable ( In Txikis eyes) terms but I can't see this going the same way as Sancho as the circumstances are very different.
 
If he wants to leave and won't sign new contract city must make sure they get a good fee this time. No give aways, at least 100+ mill

Bernardo is a better option right now. Sane from the bench also seems to be a better option...as it stands.
 
It won't be good for the club and team if he leaves and the longer this impasse continues the more likely he leaves.

If he does not sign that contract in the next week, I think he is gone.
 
He seemed happy and relaxed after the derby and also in the training videos on you tube? All about money imo and will get sorted latest before the cup final

Yeah, he seems happy enough which hopefully bodes well. If it purely about wages then you would hope a compromise will be found.
 
Bayern have announced that both Robben and Ribery are leaving this summer.
I think it's a good opportunity to get a maximum fee from them, there won't be a better moment to cash in on Sane if he's not in Pep's plans anymore. The impending transfer ban is another good reason to act swiftly.
 
If he come's back with the same attitude like he has previous seasons.They might run out of patience with him anyway..

Pretty certain he is in Pep's plans. Regardless, I doubt Bayern would be prepared to pay what we would demand were Sane to leave.
