Look, I actually agree I'd like to see us move the ball faster in transition because I want us to be cut throat and get it over with. It does my nerves in the way we suffocate teams like a python.

BUT mate ... 195 points in 2 seasons (so far). I'm guessing Pep knows something we don't.

dobsey thats an easy reply isn't it. obvious. but if you noticed the part i have in capitals where i said we are the best you would see i'm impressed somewhat too.
i would hope pep knows now how he effed up the lineup vs spurs 1st leg CL? brings on kdb and sane in the 89th minute, brilliant, too late to do anything and risked injury to cold players. they should have been on on the hour.
we have scored only 5 goals in our last 4 league games and getting all 12 pts is remarkable in a good and bad way.
pep is great, no doubt, but he's not perfect and that's ok.
admittedly, i take a lot of the good for granted and focus on the shortcomings which does me no favors,
some fans just watch like fans, others watch like tacticians and see things others don't, but it's in the right spirit.

We have had Utd's miracle of Paris (much good did it do them) , then the miracle of Anfield, now the miracle of Amsterdam - and hopefully, the miracle of Brighton. Time we scored a few, but won't be easy through the bus park.

We lost the QF to Spurs because we couldn't give the tie everything. We tried to keep the 1st leg alive by playing a containing game which Pep went for because of the physical condition of our team at the time. Even if we could go full bore that in itself might have cost us.

At the time I was upset with Pep's tactics and didn't understand it, but his explanations post-match make sense. He played the right tactics in the circumstances but it didn't work out.

Spurs played poorly in the semi-final in the 1st leg and 2nd leg semi-final 1st half, and ended up going through playing long ball football to Llorente. That's llike hoofing it up to Fellaini. CL requires some fortune and it's about nerve and desire too. A bit of a lottery in the final stages.

Barcelona aren't at their best now, but they are still a fine team. They have without a doubt been the best side in Europe over the last decade and yet their record in the Champions League is poor. It's a Cup. It requires some luck.

I think the last few games it was knowing that we had to win as the dippers had already played and won? That’s a shit load of extra pressure and I’m sure pep will have told the lads to not do anything stupid early on and try and take out chances when they came? It’s not like we didn’t create any! Sunday is a chance to hopefully go out and play from the start as it’s a final and we can be champions! Leroy left, Raheem right and Bernardo central please pep!

If we go out, play our usual game and enjoy our football, there's only one winner.

Another thing, it pisses me off all this talk in the media about Vinny's goal and how surprised they are and he had no right!?
1, he's a professional footballer, a defender, of course he can smash it.
2, he 100% did the right thing by shooting there. Pep said he wanted Vin to pass it out wide, ffs.
every game i go mad when we get the ball at the top of the box and put it wide and then never get it back to as good a position before we lose it.
3, from the top of the box if you don't have a pass up to a striker, or a through ball pass to a winger cutting in, you smash it at the net if you can, that's the play.
scoring, getting a deflected goal or getting a rebound are all better options than kicking it toward the touchline.
Let’s not sugar coat it, it was a great goal but not expected. His first shot on target from outside the area in 27 attempts.

I’d take take Pep’s instructions over yours 100 times out of 100.

Seeing as we’ve scored more goals this season than any team has ever managed, it’s fair to say that what we do works.

Even if we do triple it just can't compare to winning the CL. It's the fact
No it doesn't compare.

We won 6 games in a row to win the League Cup.

We will have to win 6 in a row to win the FA Cup.

Over 38 games we will have to amass 98 points to win the domestic league.

Liverpool and Spurs, fair fucks to them both, have each lost 4 of 12 CL games and have both had huge dollops of luck to get to the CL Final.

The domestic treble is unquestionably harder to achieve than winning the CL. Hence why no club has EVER achieved it in England.

Is it fuck as like.

As of the end of this season, 12 teams will have won the CL from England.

Only one (hopefully) would have ever managed a domestic treble.

I’d take that every single time and that’s a fucking fact.

Agreed 100%
A domestic treble is the stuff of dreams

Those City fans who say they don't care about the Champions League, do they still feel that way ? I'll be brutally honest - I'm jealous as fuck of Spurs and Liverpool. The Champions League is why Pep is here - it's why we're where we are now. Hopefully Pep's motivated to stick around for a while yet - a few more tilts at the trophy.
I'm happy for them but not jealous - we're in a very privileged position and we were within a toenail of putting Spurs out. That type of luck doesn't last a full season as the league shows

I see the usual procession of opponents trotting out to tell everyone how they want to stop us and Klopp deserves it more for whatever reason.

Waiting for the same from wolves. Shan’t hold my breath

Interestingly, many of the CL winners were unable to win their domestic titles.

Some people might have less to say if the Champions League was actually for champions.

A domestic treble would be a glorious achievement.

I feel like I'm in a fucking parallel world with Spurs and Liverpool and having a bad dream. We're without any shadow of doubt Europe's best team right now, but we've been cheated by Spurs and screwed over by UEFA - so we don't have the opportunity to prove our supremacy. Liverpool have cheated their way to being within a point of us. Barca have run out of elite support acts for Messi in their prime. We are top dogs now.

All I read on every thread is negative shite. We all know what the press are like. We’ve 2 very winnable games to win the lot in our own country. We should be massively upbeat and excited

Ladies and gentlemen, don't want to pee on the Wolves love-in on this thread but may I present to you their captain:
