He talks far too much sense to make a career in punditry'(hope I am wrong).

He knows his stuff. I think it was in pep’s first year he was on some show as a pundit (pretty sure it was sky but dont quote me in that) and he was explaining what pep was doing, and what the end game would be

The others didnt seem to want to agree, never saw him on their again

Didnt fit the agenda

Aaha, you can put asterisk in your arses Ian Ladyman :D

With UEFA still investigating claims made about the club's means of financing their operation, it could yet be that we end up placing an asterisk against all that Guardiola's players have achieved over the last two years. What a dreadful shame that would be.

As far as I'm concerned we'll always have an asterisk by our name.

*The greatest side in the history of English football who achieved all this despite the illegal efforts of their competitors to hobble them.

the rags media love-in, especially for Ole during his purple patch has set the club back another 5 /10 years..
Neville and that twat Rio are the real culprits for this awful call..
Sky Sports and BT combining together forcing Utd board into getting their buddy a long term contract

I have accepted that the media are totally shit about City but when I see wolves fans singing about Raheem, Everton fans singing bluemoon and remember Sunderland fans in 2012? Makes me realise it us the media and their bile not you average fan

BBC Sport headline this morning.....

Manchester City know Liverpool are 'here to stay', says Andy Robertson

At the end of that Liverpool puff piece there's this.....

By BBC football expert Mark Lawrenson:

"You only have to look at how many points Liverpool got this season to see how good this team are.

On the evidence of the past few months, they can barely afford to draw a game next season if they are going to keep up with City - who have a total of 198 points from their past two campaigns.

That is why the Reds cannot rest and be too satisfied with their achievements, because they will have to improve further if they are going to challenge again.

As things stand, it is hard to see anyone else being in contention for the title next year.

I know the rest of the top six will all sign players in the summer, but looking at them now I don't think they will be anywhere near City or Liverpool."

What achievements?

Like pep has said the media all wanted the Scousers winning the league.

Let them boil their piss and be the first headline and top story .

We're top of the league and are first place where it counts.

The bitterness from the supposedly neutral media is tenfold.

Fuck them.
Soon to be an Elton John love in ! Like a candle in the wind !

I don't normally watch these debate programmes on Sky, but caught one last night with Dion Dublin, Liam Rosenior & Emma Hayes, the Chelsea Women's team manager, and thought all three spoke well. All spoke of their admiration of Pep and how he always improves players and Rosenior talked about how he was sat near Pep on Sunday when Pep got annoyed with Silva (spanish variety) for giving the ball away, even though we were 4-1 up and the title was ours.

Amongst all the trash papers, you can always rely on the Daily Fail.

And as usual, any positives are always followed by negatives. It’s a narrative that has been obvious since Sheikh Mansour bought the club.

Ian Ladyman.

Good stuff. I think I've heard Rosenior once or twice.

Still a match to go though - can't let the senior players slack off!

No link, but you know the line and the narrative taken by BBC Sport.

However, according to one well-placed source, a final decision is yet to be made by chief investigator Yves Leterme.

The former Belgian prime minister, chairman of the investigatory panel of Uefa's independent financial control board, is set to make a recommendation this week.

With no vote in such cases, the final say lies with him but several of his colleagues are understood to have firmly expressed the view at a recent meeting that a season-long ban would be a suitable punishment if City are found guilty. (more of the article at British Biased Sport)

City win the league and there's hardly a mention on the BBC. This is now the lead story on the home page.

Great headline wording by David Conn of the Guardian.

No David, City are innocent until proven guilty.(you absolute c***!)

Manchester City protest innocence to Uefa amid Champions League ban threat
