Seems like coming 2nd is now better than winning the league back to back, I guess next season we should really aim to finish 2nd. Biased to fck.

When's that clown releasing him human rights story that we should all be ashamed of, been spouting all over twitter last few days but I assume nothings been released yet.
Ewan Mackenna?
He hasn't got a story he's full of piss & vinegar.

No link, but you know the line and the narrative taken by BBC Sport.

However, according to one well-placed source, a final decision is yet to be made by chief investigator Yves Leterme.

The former Belgian prime minister, chairman of the investigatory panel of Uefa's independent financial control board, is set to make a recommendation this week.

With no vote in such cases, the final say lies with him but several of his colleagues are understood to have firmly expressed the view at a recent meeting that a season-long ban would be a suitable punishment if City are found guilty. (more of the article at British Biased Sport)

Is that the BBC doubling down on having an inside source on an ongoing investigation willing to give them info?

Fucking hell.

I have complained to the BBC and I urge all other fans to do the same
My complaint was:

"The current BBC headline: Uefa “want Man City banned from Champions league” and article is unfair and deliberately damaging and unproven.

As the club say there is a “deliberate campaign to damage the club” and the BBC, a public funded organisation is playing a leading part.

Can you imagine a pre-trial headline “Police/CPS want person X to face life imprisonment” before the full evidence has been heard?

It is a fundamental right there should be a presumption of innocence not guilt.

Additionally throughout the 2018/19 PL campaign, and beyond, all the BBC journalists have shown a clear bias in favour of Liverpool.

Headlines such as “Liverpool look to make history,” when exactly the same could be said for City. They can achieve a unique domestic Grand Slam not to mention historic back to back PL titles.

Most BBC coverage since the final day has not been about City’s achievement, coming back from 7 points behind in January, but how Liverpool can improve further for next season.

The BBC football is full of ex-Liverpool players who consistently fail to give independent, unbiased output in breach of the BBC Charter’s core values."

The last part unfortunately gives them their get-out: it's not accurate that it's full of them. Jenas, Lineker, Keown, Shearer, Wright, plus various second string MOTD/Football focus types.
Complaints need to be focussed, not contain statement that are obviously not true.

IMO you are being quibbling over semantics. Most reasonable people would realise the point I was making. There are more BBC pundits from Liverpool than any other football club.
That issue was just an aside to my general complaint about unfair reporting and bias against our club particularly publishing stories about cases still under investigation etc.
Do your own BBC complaint if you want to be constructive.

Imagine my shock. Anything to get Liverpool top

Wow! You couldn't make it up.

At least it's good to know that we're doing a little bit better than Aston Villa.

Slightly odd that almost everyone in that table is in red / lower in real life than the 50-year table suggests?

The MSM coverage is now so toxic it's actually verging on farce. The volume of negative energy being thrown our way is exactly the fuel the club needs to take us to another level of ambition and performance. Use the force Pep....

They did one for every single season since the football league was founded and we were higher in the list. Capping it at 50 years is a tactic.

While the internet and social media is great it does make witch hunts and hysteria easier to drum us us being directly in the outraged mob's sights of course.

Thankfully more and more people are seeing the MSM for what they are and their power is on the wane. It would implode completely if it dared give the rags or dippers half the shit they give us.

Champions of England, we know what we are!!!
