Players allegedly singing “Allez” song

Is there anything the dippers and their media chums are not outraged by? Guarantee if the dippers had won the title and there was a video of their players singing a song at the expense of City the media headlines would be "Liverpool legends sing hilarious song about City"

They can all get to fuck. Humourless professional victims.

Ready to receive pelters about this but personally the "victims" thing doesn't sit well with me at all. Yes I abhor the sections of their support that bricked our bus and the way they got away with it. I hate how some of their fans made light of the fact that the European ban after Heysel severely impacted Everton without realising the parallels that tragedy had with Hillsborough. I hate how they stuck up for Luis Suarez and I hate how they expect everyone else buy into their self aggrandising.

However, the jokes about grieving, candles and victimhood are tapping into the fallout of the Hillsborough disaster and it genuinely baffles me how many people on here feel so at ease throwing those phrases about. Doubt our players really understand the full history of where the victims thing comes from in that song but I dont think it does us as fans, the club or the players any credit to see them singing it.

Liverpool are so easy to take the piss out of without having to go there. For me, those kinds of taunts should be filed alongside Munich chants.

the victims thing has little if anything to do with hillsboro in my mind, it comes from there attitude of always being the hard-done-to party in any situation, and it extends outside of football too, and I may be wrong, I'm quite old now and my memory isn't what it was, but I seem to recall the candles thing as far back as when I was a kid and Queen Vic had just ascended the throne

Some of them do indeed have a habit of making themselves out to be hard done by and it's really annoying. Like it or not though, the victims thing is a trope that's been exploited since Hillsborough as a means of stopping people being held to account. However you intend it, I'm just pointing out how it looks to a lot of people and why I think it's a phrase best avoided if you're concerned about how our club is portrayed.

That is actually very insulting,we as all football fans have paid the utmost respect about Hillsborough
