FA Cup Final v Watford - Pre Match Thread

You just never know with the FA Cup. This is the one Cup where we seem to always drop a bollock and the underdogs get one over us. I hope that is not the case today and we absolutely batter Watford but in truth it will probably be a nervy game and I can see them scoring.

Hopefully another Whoodoo Pep will banish and we will be finally cured of CityItus!

That would be potty.

A Cup Final and another chance for a trophy. This has been overshadowed for weeks because of the title run in, which was basically all consuming, I've barely thought about it until a couple of days after the win at Brighton. There is a chance to make some real history here today, the 1st ever domestic treble by any club. Liverpool & Utd et al claim we have no history, well this is a chance to shove that down their throats and create a bit of history that those two clubs, both extremely fond of themselves and their own self-importance, have not managed to do, not even when they had their periods of domestic dominance.
Long after we are all gone, the record will still be there. I'm sure Pep will have them up for this one.

Its only proper history if one of those two do it?

We'll all be wearing his grey jardigan.
Remember the old days when the week leading up we'd see them being measured for their cup final suits and recording their cup final song. Now it'll probably be all D Squared outfits.

Will have a stab at guessing Pep's team , never got one right yet though ! EDERSON + WALKER , VINNIE , LAPORTE , ZINCH + BERNARDO , GUNDOGAN , MERLIN , KDB , STERLING + AGUERO subs FODEN , SANE , OTTO , STONES , JESUS , MAHREZ , MURIC. , don't think Pep will risk Dinho , just not enough games and apparently he is training with his knee strapped up . This is going to be tough , Watford are a strong , physical side and wouldnt be surprised if it goes to extra time , BBC will be rooting for the underdog so expect the usual dismissive comments from the panel , (the mute button is your friend :) I've backed a 2-1 win ,and Sane with the winner in extra time would be rather nice and would be a big lift for the lad after a frustrating season for him.

We slag scousers for being scummy but there are a few on the train I am in from Wycombe letting themselves down . Good spirts and I ain’t no shrinking violet but no regard for the kids and families around them. Not a pleasant experience.

Having to explain song Bernardo with “various people “ touching kids added to 11 year olds asking isn’t ideal .

Pathetic
