Doesn't need to be for the point to remain that purple has never belonged on our home kit in such a manor yet Puma decided, having supposedly studied our history and kits ahead of this 125th season, to cock about with it now.

We have had purple on the kit before - for the Centenary Kit in 94, albeit a small amount of purple around the badge / crest. Perhaps there is a link after all? I just cant be arsed researching why.

As far as I can make out we are wearing it for one game, and will be sold as a memento, but that’s just what I’ve. made out from others not certain when it will be worn.

Presumably, this is Tyrian purple to distinguish us from the plebs. Thought the gold badges on the sleeves was enough, personally.
