They've had a cracking morning. Now they've expelled Alastair Campbell from the party.
Still, if you add up all the people who didn't write to him expelling him, it's much greater than the number who did, so in reality the non-expellers have won.

Party rules any member who votes for an opposing party is imediately expelled, hence why I quit the party in late 90s as I was going to vote green and rejoined in 2008 when I stopped voting green
Soon as he tweeted it, he knew he would be gone.
Will wait for some to use this to tag onto the AS debarcle, even though there is a difference between expulsion for an admitted offence and investigating complaints.

Yep - it's actually interesting that he cites lots of precedent for people voting for other parties and not being expelled, but I can't recall anyone of any kind of profile whatever getting away with it.
Personally I don't see it as any different to Michael Heseltine saying the same thing the other day - if you aren't going to vote for the Party you're a member of, you shouldn't be in it.
Mind you, this is pushing it:

Up here the Labour Party are officially extinct. Siding with the Tories in the last Indy Ref killed them.
I detest them so much for that, I would vote Tory before them. Enemies I can deal with a lot easier than Traitors.
If the voting pattern remains the same, they won’t have one MP at the next general election. Not a single one. All their own doing,

Why do you expect a UK wide party, who represents people from all corners of the nation, to want to break up the union?

It wasn’t that. It was standing shoulder to shoulder and spouting the lies about pensions, the EU and more.
Until it became clear that even if Labour win power it would be rightwing, I was in the Labour Party and didn’t want Indy. The political landscape has changed so much now that we have the option of rightwibg Tories forever. Labour will nevervwin on a left wing platform if at all in the next 29 years.
Being against Indy wasn’t thevreason they are now loathed. It’s how they went about it. They admit themselves getting into bed with the Tories was a monumental mistake. They will never recover up here and that’s from a country that until 15 years ago could have put up a cat as a candidate and won.

Was the only option they had at the time, anyway doesn't matter now, you daft twats keep lapping up gobshites from the SNP who continue in doing square sum of fuckall too.
Eventually scotland will leave the UK and then hopefully a party will form up there that is like old scottish labour was and you won't have to rely on the SNP cunts.
(I am niether pro or anti independance btw and if you leave fair fucks to you, just think the SNP are twats)

Labour have scored a bit of an own goal with expelling Campbell. He clearly new the rules and went public to see if they'd bite. Kicking him out so quickly just highlights how dysfunctional and politically motivated yet naive this administration is. This achieves 2 things:
1, They look bad - not him. They build up a massive back log of AS complaints and deal with it with the least determination possible. They don't seem to be able to see how the Campbell decision reflects on this.
2, This draws more attention to Campbell's criticisms which are bang on the money. Ignoring him would have done so much less damage.

Maybe if he had just suggeted raping Jess Philips or denying the holocaust, he would still be a member today? It is also a good job voting against the party is not included as JC and JM would have been expelled well over 1000 times between them. Again though, why does a bloke who voted against his own government over 600 times, and presumably was happy to stand on that THREE times elected governement manifesto(s), get to say anything, to anyone about party loyalty?
The single biggest reason him and McDonell should be nowhere near the leadership is that rank hypocrisy. If they ever got into power they would have no moral right to ever whip MP's into supporting them and could then, in all reality, not really govern.
One last bit, and I know it is not technically 'voting' for another party but I am not sure it is that much different, after Labour had lost a by-election in 2012.

Everybody I know who were all labour supporters will never forgive them. The only way they will ever make a comeback here, is after we go Independant and they have an absolute cull of every single person who caused their fall.
If they don’t, they’re fucked.
