Correct. But i'm sure we were in "advanced" talks with Jorginho too. Look how that turned out (thankfully).

Doesn't mean we'll get any of the targets.

Deals may well be at an advanced stage, however most players and management teams will be on holiday (if they’re not on international duty). We have just finished a 9 month season in which we for example played every 3 days until we got knocked out of the Champions League. The players and management teams deserve a good few weeks rest and to be able to spend all the money they earn on nice, long holidays.

It's obviously way too early to say we fucked up yet, but it doesn't sound like things are going particularly well so far.

By the sounds of it if Otamendi stays, maybe the business becomes just a Fernandinho replacement and a replacement for Danilo if he goes? I continue to refuse to believe we have any shot at Joao Felix.

That's what I wanted to say. The atmosphere now looks really bad. It's like last summer, isn't it?
