By the time we will get to the start of next season itll be 7,500,000!

I've already been bailed up by the 3 'resident scousers' in my office... despite not 1 of them ever having been to Anfield (despite all having been to Europe/UK on multiple occasions), and 2 of them never being heard from unless Liverpool win a trophy or they beat city....

The masturbation in the media is truly ridiculous though - like this from Basil McFaulty in the BBC:

"If Liverpool's rivals did not exactly fear their potential renaissance, they will have known the vast potential waiting to be released once they got it right - which they now have, quite spectacularly.

Liverpool have everything in place to replicate their real glory era, although the Manchester City juggernaut will prove difficult to shift.

Klopp's team are not going anywhere. Barring unforeseen circumstances, Saturday's Champions League triumph will usher in a glorious new Anfield era."

That on the back of winning their first trophy in 7 seasons! Bring on next season when they come crashing back to earth.

It’s like the yanks brainwashing everyone into believing their family, friends and neighbours were all commie bastards in the fifties

The deluded Dipper fans and their ludicrously partisan friends in the media can extol their scratchy CL win and belittle out truly outstanding clean sweep of domestic trophies all they like. We know which is by far the greater achievement and which by far the better team. And guess what? Just below the surface of this desperate Dipper-world bravado, so do they. The fanatic always harbours doubt.

It's noticeable that "they only lost one game!" is repeated over and over.

Who they lost it to is inexplicably omitted.

Was keeping an eye out for 'history books' references. Apparently, their poor performance doesn't mean anything to the BBC. "It will not say that in the history books though - they will simply record that Liverpool were the cream of European football once again." Our achievements in said history books, of course, will be marked with an asterisk that guides the reader to the bottom of the page where there'll be a list of the usual calumnies.
Nor will they mention the fact they won the ‘Champions league’ having not been the previous seasons domestic champions or of the four defeats and two draws along the way

Van Dijk was shit in the final, caught out of position loads of times, and if Son was awake it could've been so very different.
I thought it was absurd that he got man of the match. Everytime Spurs attacked there seemed to be a huge gap in the centre of their defence. Van Dijk and Trent Alexander were dragged all over the place and if Kane wasn't a statue Spurs could have scored a few goals. Don't get me wrong I think Van Dijk and Alexander are superb players but they were both poor on the night defensively.

looking at the final and the way Liverpool froze,if we would of played them we would of fucking slaughtered them, peps got their number now and I expect to wallop them in the cc,and beat them home and away next season, their style of "play" was fucking disgraceful for such a prestige way, agree its not how you win its about winning, but they showed the whole world exactly what they are about, they shit it in the final.

Judging by your English you are not from the UK. I'm not sure how metropolitan areas are organised in your country, but Liverpool is part of Merseyside. That immediately increases the local population to 1.4m. The immediate hinterland to that is North Wales, Cheshire , Lancashire . That's a big population within spitting distance.

It's a bit like Man Utd. They are based in Salford. Salford is part of Greater Manchester just like Manchester itself. Beyond that is a hinterland of Lancs and Cheshire.I don't know offhand what the population of Salford is, but it's going to be a lot smaller than the number of people who attended their 1999 treble parade.

It's ridiculous to question official police figured for what is a non-political parade..here is absolutely zero incentive for the cops to report a fraudulent number.
So they've moved Old Toilet into Salford, have they? Funny, I thought they were in Trafford, as the big clue is in the correct name of the ground.

Pease pay attention, Mr Bond!

John Barnes bumping his gums about it being impossible to separate Guardiola and Klopp. The guy has won four trophies for christ sake.
Some people make reference to the difference in clubs they've managed, but Dortmund are probably considered Germany's second side and the dippers would generally have been considered above us in the pecking order untill recently.
I could be wrong but I don't think Klopp has ever got the better of Pep in any competition in which both have played head to head and one or other has won the competition.

Manchester United are not in Salford.....they are in Trafford....there is a ship canal between Trafford and Salford.
