I think he is in a bit of a catch 22 situation where if he tries the more creative line up it will sacrifice the defensive stubbornness but should help them open up teams easier. Will be interesting to see what they do this Summer because biased as I am, I genuinely think that a remarkable number of decisions went their way which contributed to their success. The Champions League Final, with the penalty was an example. If you look back through the league season, there was a significant number of games where they played poorly and yet won because the opposing keeper had a nightmare. Remember Pickford at Anfield when the ball bounced on the crossbar, Heaton and Lloris? I think these incidents lifted Liverpool and gave them great belief.
They are a side with a good defence and they are very difficult to break down because in front of that defence they have three defensive midfielders, however this could be a weakness for them in the future because it should be relatively easy to stop Liverpool playing.
Their forward play relies a lot on two raiding fullbacks, Robertson and Trent. Stop those two getting forward and Liverpool's supply to their forwards is gone. I think they might struggle a bit next season to replicate what they have done. Although they got 97 points, I don't think they are one of the Premier League's great sides yet.
Your fans are vile and some of your players are the same and cheatsJust joined up to talk about next season's expectations but am surprised at the level of hatred dominating these pages at us. Anyway, I think we'll run you close again; no doubt City's squad is superior and Pep is such a great manager but I do think this has been a defining season for Liverpool and we'll be there are thereabouts again. I just can't see anyone else coming close to challenging.
Good job there isn’t thousands of emZulu eh !

Agree with this. What you give is what you get. We were in title rivalries with Chelsea in recent years and there was no hatred at all. There was no hatred with Liverpool too back in 2014/15. They've started it out of nothing with bus attack last year and then with their vitriolic comments on their forums and social media when they realized we're still standing between them and their first title in 30 odd years. The way their ex players, turned pundits and social media "stars", acted against City was out of the order. That was not healthy rivalry thing, it was trying to kick this club to the death, belittling, humiliating even at it's very own stadium when welcomed professionally great.
I had lot of time for Liverpool when they were against Rags in 2000s, but guess I was not ITK back then. They are horrible set of fans. And them and their club deserve any bad feelings from City fans.
I’ve just had one for a LFC branded coffee machine. Why is this appearing on BM — I’ve not searched anything about Liverpool in months (and definitely not New Balance)...

Can't see this Liverpool side getting anywhere near City next year.Just joined up to talk about next season's expectations but am surprised at the level of hatred dominating these pages at us. It's a shame the video stopped.I especially liked the way he was too busy being the hard man from the safety of the other side of the fence to notice the two mounted police sneaking up on him, batons in hand.
Don’t forget that Van Dijk invented defendingSalah has cured Islamphobia on Murkyside , Klopp has found a cure for cancer , Henderson and Milner have put their heads together with their shared braincell and have a solution for Brexit , a pity the Dippers winning a trophy only comes along every 15 years.
