I said it even before the game that I didn't see the fuss after watching countless videos of him so this is not a particularly knee jerk but I have yet to see any standout quality of his. Normally attacking/creative players lacking the speed and yard of pace to beat players compensate that with incredible awareness or close control dribbling or if not that at least great vision and passing. He has none of those, the only viable quality of his I've seen is that he seems to have a good finish on him and timing his runs from deep into and around the box. Like a poor version of delle alli a couple of seasons ago.

Outside of that have yet to see anything warranting the hype or the price being branded around. The one time he's played at a slightly higher level than used to he's looked outside his depth. Foden does the late timing of runs into the box as well as him but also has the passing range and vision to compliment that which makes him stand out. I'm afraid he would be massively found out at a higher level like renato sanches(another overhyped benfica youngster) if he moves now. Needs at least a couple of seasons at benfica or a team in a much higher level league like a dortmund to develop many aspects of his game before he's deserving even half the price being touted.
 
1 game is not a great sample to rate player on, but he literally didn't show anything of close to 100m valued player. Might be that occasion was too big for him, the debut in national team and stuff.

I have never knowingly watched him play but we don't often get it wrong now. As for the money, I couldn't care less: we are a well-run club.

The only promising thing I saw was his run in behind the Swiss defence and onto Ronaldo's pass.

He then proceeded to fall with limited contact.

Not £100m+ - certainly not for 2 or 3 years.
 
Didn’t see anything that made him a £100m player to be honest. Granted it seems he’s talented but for the numbers mentioned there was nothing at all special. He would face better players in the premier league than that that Swiss team as well. Really think we should concentrate on De Ligt, rhodri and our potential outgoing to free up space for anyone else.

No of course mate, he will have been scouted for at least a year I would think. There wasn’t even a skill, turn, run that made you go wow though? Look at the shit gabby gets on here half the time and he still does a few things a game that are class?
 
Their are some mad people here on this forum. If it's like daily grocery shopping. We're talking about £100 million pounds. Gambling on a kid that isn't proven yet, and just had 1 full season under his belly, in a piss poor league, is madness. No, for £100 million you can't take the risk. And Felix, even with the amount of games he had played for Benfica, isn't a £100 million player. Not even £30 mil, If Benfica wants that kind of money, we should stay (far) away from this kid.

Vast majority of that is unwarranted and by people who expect a hat trick every game
 
He wasn't up to much last night,but saying that......i've seen the likes of KDB,Aguero,Merlin etc have piss poor games,it happens.
Sill a big yes from me....couldn't give a flying fuck what we pay.
