Alexandole Boris de Pfeffel Johnson

He's going full Vermin mode today promising tax cuts for the rich. All in it together? Paid for - wait for it - by taking money from the budget allocated for the cost of a No Deal Brexit. And by increasing everyone else's national insurance....

Do the backwoods Tory members really think he'll win them the next election?

And crucially, how many Tory MPs could defect if he becomes PM?

I’m sure most of us will be stoked after a decade of austerity and public services cut to the bone that there is money for the neediest amongst us...higher rate tax payers.

Corbyn probably had a semi reading this over his boiled egg and soldiers this morning.

If you wanted to guarantee that a GE now would be about something other than Brexit, make it into one where the main issue is "Are you for the many or the few?".

Meanwhile, Amber Rudd summing up Blond Vermin's Brexit policy as "shut your eyes, cross your fingers, pick up some magic beans and believe in Britain".

That would be the budget set aside to help the economy ride out the storm created by a No Deal Brexit - so his plan is to use that money that is there to help a few and trash the economy? For the few not the many eh? Almost a catchy slogan.

He will surely be writing a column headed " Let the lion roar" any day soon............its becoming noticeable he is doing no TV or radio - only written press interviews. His team know he is that gaffe prone they will be keeping him locked in a box. They should beware because if they are on the TV debate shows people like Gove will prepare some killer answers to put him on the spot and goad him into a "pickaninnies" moment..........

He only needs to appeal to 150,000 Conservative Party members rather than the other 66 million who live here in order to be PM for the next 3 years.
That appears to be a slight flaw with our democracy.

Whoever win will be out on their ear within 6 months anyway by the looks of it. We will not be leaving the EU on the 31st October - so either someone admits that but doesn't get in or someone continues to live in the realm of fantasy gets in and then swiftly out again through a vote of no-confidence. It is no coincidence Johnson is in hiding, he doesn't have answers to the questions

To be fair that's probably still more progressive than May ;-)

150k is an overstatement. The true number is probably closer to 100k. And he only needs half +1 for a majority. So circa 60k votes will do it.

There is one safe guard in that whoever wins this contest must ensure they have support of enough MPs to continue what is a minority government. I doubt BJ will last 12 months because of this.

Reverse that and Corbyn and co need to appeal to its, albeit slightly larger membership/momentum and the rest of us have to suck it up.

Agree though it’s an absolute piss take.

Man is made of teflon in the british medias eyes though.

A coke fiend
A racist
Islamaphobic
Sexist
Hypocrite

And still he get's a "oh boris" kind of treatment.

Those years playing a lovable rogue on HIGNFY have paid off.

The British Trump.

Both fat New Yorkers with ridiculous barnets as well as the above attributes.

Soldiers are the last thing Corbyn would be associated with.

Yep - he must be quite a strategic thinker / long term planner to have made that decision to take part in HIGNFY

Surely that type of strategic capability is what we need now?

;-)
