João Félix

It is.
Meanwhile, Sanchez and Fred values have decreased which means they have been failure.
Pogba is worth more than what MU paid for him and for all the hatred he gets, he is still one of their best players.

If I lived in that alternative universe, I'd wish we had him.

As it is, in the real world, I'm glad we signed Betnardo Silva, Sané & Jesus, rather than vastly overpaying for Mbappe,

Nor were Bernardo, Aguero, KDB, Kompany, Zabaleta, Ederson, Laporte, Sané, Jesus, Fernandinho etc. etc. etc.

Who gives a fuck about Premier League proven? All our best transfers have had zero PL experience and been better for it. Do you know who was premier league proven? Fucking Bony, Sinclair and Rodwell.

De Ligt has similar amounts of experience to Bernardo, Ederson, Sané when we bought them, far more than Jesus.

De Ligt at €75m aka £66m is a fucking bargain compared to Harry Maguire at £80-90m, even if he takes half the difference home in wages.
£66 mill ??? Last I heard it was £100 mill.

You had those players before you even bid for Mbappé.
I remember Mbappé saying he declined City interest even if he respects Pep.

You say we need more players. PSG direction think the same.
They tried to get de Jong but it failed at the last minute. They tried to get Kanté last summer but the guy was never interested in. They are trying to do de Ligt. Fabinho was virtually a PSG player before Monaco blocked the move the last day of the 2017 mercato.
It is not because we have Mbappé that we are failing to get our targets done.

And with SWP , i have already explained here that PSG (like Juve with Ronaldo) need those big players for their brand development.

City doesn't need to do anything as a PL club.

Mbappe & Neymar were interested though, because they paid far too much money for them & they knew they could move somewhere else after seeing out a spell there

Pogba is worth than 100m ? you are having a laugh,he has been a failure at the rags and is everything that is wrong with that club

I don't know if you think you are scoring any point here.
I only see you trying to take a dig with your stepping stone hashtag.
Too bad, my club doesn't think like that and I'm very happy to have those players under our shirt.

Tell that to Real Madrid then.

I'm not the one making the market values.

Having watched mbappe againstvusbfor Monaco and then again at the World Cup were he available I’d be desperate for city to sign him. This Félix kid hasn’t proven anything out side the Portuguese league at present so he’s a big risk at that price.

@Parisian is right regarding value though as with a house, players worth is determined by what a buyer is willing to pay. Not right but that’s the way it is.

So any player is worth whatever somebody else is willing to pay, even if you need five other players instead

Interesting idea.

We should have gone the extra yard for Pogba, Fred & Sanchez.
Thats the definition of the word, so yes, exactly. If multiple people want to buy my watch off me for $5000 for whatever reason, thats how much my watch is worth also.

You said he was worth more than they paid for him, that is not true in real life, football wise every player we have are better than him,he dabs a lot though, loves the life but not the hard work
Madrid would pay 100m for him tomorrow if they could

Don’t think thats true, he's far harder working than Neymar, hell go to Madrid in the next couple of years for around €200 mill and be one of the best in the world after Messi and Ronaldo are gone.

I don’t see the need to bring City players in the argument.
I feel like you are too much City centered.

Real Madrid wants him hard and the figures being talked are around 120 M. And MU doesn't seem to want to oblige.

If i had to say something about City players, i would say you got huge bargains on players like Bernardo, de Bruyne, Gabriel Jesus, Sane, even Sterling. In this market, they would be worth a lot more.

Tbf he’s better than Delph, Foden at present, Stones, Walker, Danilo. He’s a thunderc@nt but he’s talented and if he were playing for us with kdb dinho and silva I could see him being a different player

So far he had great players that made him look good at juve, endless players to unlock him at the rags,we have seen all he's got

I'd rather have Pogba than Neymar tbh.

And I'd rather have crabs than Pogba.

But none of the 3 are worth the money & if we do this deal at the quoted price, we are joining in, albeit for a lot less comparatvely, in the current market, but still, overrpaying, imo.

If we do sign him, it will be us, paying fsr too much money out, for a player, for our team.

Unlike you lot & Utd, who are just investing cleverly, apparently.

See the above post, all those players of us you mentioned are centurians, laden with medals, they work hard and have got the reward, pogba does not have that in him or we would have seen it at the rags by now, lazy showpony,i've wouldn't have him if you paid me,remember pep said he was offered him at city and hesaid no,about 2 seasons ago he was hawked to us in the january

For PSG , Neymar made a lot of sense. We won sponsorship at levels of top PL clubs level despite our league lower exposure.
And there is a thin line between spending smartly or not.
PSG tried to get de Bruyne but he chose you. PSG almost signed Fabinho, de Jong.
In the other hand, you were close to get Sanchez before MU gazump.
I have seen that Salah was not the first choice of Klopp.
A very thin line between success and failure.

What City did better is off the pitch with Pep and Txiki.
PSG was doing very good early on with Leonardo and his work went to the drain when they appointed bad sporting directors.
Hopefully , Leonardo will put in a good work again.

The problem is you think only as a City fan and with City needs in mind.

There are a lot of clubs out there with other needs and that are ready to pay.

It is exactly like when City changed their 4 fullbacks.
They made Mendy and Walker world record in those positions because you had urgent needs. People said you were overpaying at the time.

Not on walker as he is english and there is a huge english tax selling to each other in the prem,we got 3 fullbacks for 150 m,we were in desoerate need, got rid of 3 brought 3 in,that is a good alround deal and sound business practise
