Like I said already, we didn't do it often. For the most part they both played as Fullbacks. The games where this was done we're few and blatantly obvious. It wasn't the norm.
Whether Gundogan or Walker discussed this particular tactic is not dispositive. Unless you have proof of them saying this was our tactic in most games or often.
Asf forJoao, he'll fit in well. And the quietness regarding news of him suggests to me work is going on.behind the scenes.

Yes it's 5 attacking and 5 defending. This video shows how.
So you could deploy Cancelo to do the same thing as Zinch does but on the right, providing you have cover behind.

With Cancelo you can do a few things. I think the most common would be KDB dropping deeper and Bernardo coming inside to free up space on the right for Cancelo, so the 3 would be Zinchenko-Laporte-Stones with a 2 of Fernandinho KDB ahead of them. Fern could also drop back and Zinch could go next to KDB.
The really interesting thing would be what we do if Mendy and Cancelo played together as very attacking fullbacks.

It may be a big mistake on our part; for all that he was found lacking at important times, he has quality and we should have tried keeping him 1 year more to improve him, imo. The price should be about 60 millions.
Let's hope we find a substitute, this is my biggest worry. And I hope we aren't really looking at Semedo because he'd be a big step back from Cancelo.

All the journalists, all the inside sources/gurus/what-have-you say you're making a deal to buy him. When they all agree on something (and it doesn't happen very often) it means that something has a high probability of being true.
I haven't said he's already yours 100%, awkward accidents happen in football, but he's practically yours.

Mmh I don't really know how he is as I haven't followed City much, I'll look him up online. Keep in mind that we aren't City so he'd have to play a different style.

Are we swapping him for Guardiola ?
Send them Walker instead. A buzz cut, a close shave, a huge dollop of facial moisturizer and an eyebrow wax and no one could tell the difference.Danilo would actually be a good replacement for Cancelo.
