Well, the real problem is the corruption in itself, not the blatant arrogance.It's the level & blatant arrogance of the corruption in this & the Russia case, which has caused the problem.
It is like saying : "Yeah, France bought their World Cup but at least they are a real football nation, unlike Qatar". It is not correct if justice is what we are looking for.

Trump isnt friends with Qatar? He sees them differently than his military men. Qatar isn't flavour of the month with USA, especially when it comes to kicking them (And platini) about the WC which Qatar stole from the US.

I dont think they will ever pull their bases or aircraft out, I dont think they will go to war LOL. I just said Platini / Qatar isnt good as far as the US is concerned, I suspect the US dont want the WC to be held in Qatar. When things were not in favour of KSA, they improved their relationship with some more weapons sale (one of the biggest deal ever) and their vision has aligned perfectly. Even the scandal of the embassy was swept under the rug.
Qatar bought some more weapons from daddy USA to stay in their good graces too.

I’m sure there has been some greasing of the palms to get this through, however you only need to see how the FIFA voting system has been arranged to be clear that bribery has been responsible for allocating WC for years. I don't support Qatar.
I don't hate them either though.

Most World Cups have been a subtle bribing process & the countries awarded them have some argument for winning the bid.
Qatar has none, only corruption.

Regarding Russia, i don't see what is wrong with them hosting the World Cup either. You can't say it is not a football nation, it is a huge country, big cities. I really don't even see why there should be an objection about them, bar the rhetoric "Russia/Poutine bad". And, as a matter of fact, it was one of the best World Cups.

We don't want our season fucking up so a bunch of rich people can have a World Cup. Nor do any of the fans you meet from anywhere else.
There is no good reason to have a World Cup in Qatar.
It is only going there due to this corrupt **** Platini & his corrupt mates & hopefully the fucking lot of them end up in jail & this obscenity stopped
