No, but what you would do, a la Jezza, is absolutely nothing, if our security was threatened.
Do you think the Russians would have annexed Ukrainian territory if Ukraine had a nuclear deterrent?

But they did so despite the fact that those countries that were highly critical of their actions also had nukes and resorted to nothing more than a vodka sanctions and a strongly worded letter to the editor of the times

On the whole I rather we went with someone competent. Radical I know.

Tidy desk, tidy mind. If that's how he keeps his car, I worry about how organised the rest of his life is.

May I point my learned friend to a wealth of evidence reported over the last 20 years about his life and how its disgracefully organised.

And yet he has designs on running the country. I know yoy know this but I meant his car is a metaphor as you how he would run the country. I feel that you and I may have similar concerns about future governance.
When I was younger I felt that politicians genuinely cared, their ideals may not have meshed with my own but they cared. Nowadays. I really don't get that feeling.
Bugger, I'm depressed. A glass of Malbec should help.
BTW; learned. Thankyou.

He will hold the record for the number of people trapped on a zip wire at any one time - whats the UK population now? 65m??? Gonna be a big zip wire - and who will be left on the ground to get us all down?

So if any aggressor, who has massively more conventional force than ourselves, decides to annex our territory,
say the strategically situated Shetlands, you wouldn't do anything whatsoever, you have no threat to offer them, nothing.
If that aggressor backs up his aggression with the threat of individual cities being razed, either conventionally, or using Nukes,
if we do not immediately capitulate, what would you do?

Western democracy is going to shite.
America leading the way with a prick in the Oval Office and now you lot look to be getting rid of the worst PM in living memory to replace her with a gobshite.
She won’t be the worst PM in living memory much much sooner than she could possibly have dreamed about..

Go to the Winchester have a pint and wait for it to all blow over?

Sadly politics has turned into a 'popularity' contest.
Up until the 90s it was about policies and you knew exactly what the parties stood for.
John Smith was a brilliant politician and would have gone down as 'great' had he not passed away less than 2 years into his role as leader of labour.
Blair suddenly took over and won the election because some thought he seemed a 'nice man' with a young family.
To me he was intent on being PM and not representing his party.
Corbyn has connected with the left, students and is popular with traditional labour voters.
Boris will upset millions with his outrageous comments and actions but he will gain votes because many will vote for his laddish antics that will be popular with disenchanted Tory voters who think he'll be strong. He'll also have a massive presence regardless of what his policies are and this will get votes.
May had no presence and ultimately had no conviction in her words. So ultimately Unelectable.

Not a fan of Boris, but i am utterly convinced he won't be as bad as the warmonger and serial liar Blair. Still staggered he has so much support from some on here.

So much support from some? I haven’t seen that much tbh. He has been roundly criticised by the good(and bad) people of bluemoon. Even me who wants him to win thinks he’s a dick.

I think you will find on bluemoon and the country in general that the decency of a human being can go up or down depending if they are on your side. We have seen it recently with Rory Stewart and the remainers. Posters whose heads usually explode at the mention of a Tory MP suddenly turned into sycophantic fanboys.

Corbyn,Abbott,McDonnell,Stewart,Blair all get this treatment. It happens less with Tories though as they are less staunch Tories on here.

I couldn't really care less who wins the Tory leadership race. I think they are all pretty poor candidates. The only thing that will keep them in power is the unelectable shambles on the other side of the house.
