Yes it will. The EU will help build their infrastructure and absorb a country of 44 million into the Single Market for European companies to sell goods and services and also set up companies etc. It will also stem the flow of young Ukrainian adults seeking work in nearby Poland who already benefit from Single Market membership. This, ironically, was Thatcher’s vision of Europe. A huge market place of prosperous countries to sell stuff too. A market place with no barriers to trade and no barriers for people to live and work.

It’s a continuing work in progress but impressive in its ambition and scope and exciting to see it coming to fruition.

I do not think that there will be any attempt whatsoever to renegotiate May's deal - there are 3 parties with fixed positions and none can afford to lose face. I think her deal would be quickly put in the bin where it belongs.

it is all the stuff of the dreams of ideologues - the EU model will collapse/implode and hopefully the UK will not have been a member for quite a few years when the inevitable happens
