And I'm still interested in why none of the other 3 "independent" investigations launched amid such a fanfare at the same time, have published their findings yet. You'd think at least one of them would have reached a conclusion. It's almost as though they were being orchestrated too !
We probably won't hear anything until the week before the Community Shield when the usual strategic leaks will come out orchestrated by our commercial rivals and their pals in the media. There is a well-worn route now from the snakes inside UEFA to the American owners of Liverpool and United and then via a third party to the New York Times.
I also wonder what has happened to that letter from other Premier League Clubs apparently putting pressure on the Premier League to take action against us. We know that one started at the other end of the M62 and was one of the rare ones to appear first in the Engish media via the Times. That one was a total set-up.

Have any of those letters been published like the infamous one on Arsenal headed notepaper. I don't recall seeing them.

I have spoken to someone at the weekend who is pretty clued up on city (works for the press) and has some contacts. He said we are not overly concerned by this and don’t think it will get anywhere. We are however more concerned about the possibility of the transfer ban from FIFA.

This is correct.

The FIFA transfer ban is the one we expect, possibly to cover two windows from next January, based on some foreign youth recruitment.

That's good to hear but then I recall how confident we were that we'd pass FFP in 2014 and I go back to worrying.

The Arsenal one was published somewhere on this forum ages ago. I think the more recent letter was conjured up between Liverpool FC and a certain journalist but I am not sure how far it ever got. The story started in the Times newspaper but only lasted about 24 hours in other outlets. To use the words used in City's statement to the media it was "a clear attempt to smear" our club.

I had the impression that it was nothing more than a hack question along the lines of
"has the (LFC) club considered what may have been lost out on if evil City were breaking rules?"
"we are always aware of avenues, and will act accordingly"

An anodyne (and perfectly reasonable) response to dumb hackery, translated to 'the club are looking into taking further action to recover money lost".

I think the same thing is the standard m.o. of many hacks trying to create a story from a non-denial.
