I cant quite believe Hunt stood there and told a Tory audience that on brexit he is willing to tell them what they dont want to hear as if that refreshing honesty is some sort of vote winner lol.

Does he not realise that as a politician he must lie to get the job, lie whilst in the job and then lie about the lies he told after he has left the job?

For the record both were good choices and I've seen them rip politicians to shreds. Boris treated them both with utter contempt.

Correct hunt all wrong in trying to appeal to labour voters (although I thought he was ok) unlike Boris who knew his audience and focussed on winning Tories back from the brexit party. Optimism Big statements and flag waving

However 5 minutes after I cannot remember a single thing any of them said on anything specific

Tis the world we live in, honest folk don’t get the chance to do good things. We can only hope the dishonest get forced into doing good things. Both these two are utter twats so I’m not that concerned either way. They have inadvertently told the EU we ain’t leaving without a deal anyhow which is what we have been doing for 3 years anyhow.

The whole thing is a farce. It’s like Jezza with a nuclear deterrent you never openly tell people what you are not willing to do.

I think one of the said harrrummpph a lot if that helps. The other one speaks and nods his head in a manner that reminds me of Troy Tempest

I see it in a different way.. the EU need to be sitting across the table from somebody who is actually crazy enough to go WTO... They’d walk all over Hunt.. in fact both of them but Boris just might unsettle them enough to consider negotiating... because they think they need to

For that to happen Johnson ( or Hunt ) need to get the EU to sit down at that table to re-negotiate the WA. I would guarantee the first negotiating move from the EU will to call his bluff - " no need to meet Mr Johnson - we have a WA deal signed by the PM of the UK and its up to you now in that role to fulfil your side of the bargain. Now off you fuck and do the biz eh? " - what does he do then? Comes back looking even less successful than Cameron his nemesis and facing immediate calls from the ERG and the members who put him there to leave on No Deal - which he knows will expose his lies and make him the most inept PM ever - Theresa May will be happy to lose that crown so soon.
