The Conservative Party

The EU, as a body, don't give a flying fuck about £39bn, that mostly would have been spent finishing up EU projects inside the UK, which would be left to rot otherwise.

The only silver lining is the EU have been willing to give us extensions, believe me they want us in either by revoking or a soft brexit with a 39 billion bonus. They don’t believe we will go ahead with a no deal so the risk factor for them is low. I think they would nudge on the WA just to be on the safe side and get it done.

I only saw the last 20 minutes and Johnson came across as totally unconvincing and I don’t think he answered a single question. Doesn’t matter though, Johnson will win and for those of us who want Brexit to fail that’s a good thing because Johnson couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery.

That will never happen....the EU telling the new PM to fuck off, especially one equally willing to call bluffs as you put it.
Correct. They won't tell him to off fcuk, just sign the WA.
The agreement which by the way the British Government agreed to and in fact wrote most of.
No need to call bluffs , just honour your country's commitment.

Not necessarily. Not with Corbyn about, not with Scotland possibly leaving the union and not with the Brexit Party being a very short term project no matter what happens. Even if the Brexit Party got their seats for a no deal, they'd be out on their arses very shortly afterwards as the consequences of that action became clear and a lot of voters and members would go crawling back to the Tories and Labour with their tails between their legs.

We will have to disagree mate, a general election before brexit is sorted and they have had it. They will lose leave and remain votes. I bet they wouldn’t get 25% of the vote.

No, we've wanted extensions and the rest have gone along as they don't want to be seen as kicking you out.

Them asking for and insisting on it says differently I'm afraid.

Your own government certainly gives a huge fuck over brexit, especially a no deal one.

They'd lose that one with less than 25% but Hunt would be thinking about the one after.

Asking for and insisting on it to continue funding the hundreds of EU projects ongoing in the UK under the current budget period. No money, lots of jobs lost unless the Tories dig deep.

We will sign a new time limited back stop arrangement that allows for the procedures and tech discussed by the group of MP's that have worked on it to be introduced and one that mirrors work done by Dublin and Brussels i believe.

We will move by signing and agreeing and they will move by agreeing to a time limit.

Yeah im sorry but i dont agree with your opinion that the EU doesnt need or want or money.

Making out it was only to be spent on the UK and the projects can rot sounds a tad churlish to be honest mate and is probably quite far from the truth.

Most of it would be spent in the UK, on projects that employ hundreds in Manchester alone, scientific research being the main area there. A lesser amount would go to the EU solidarity project, it would cost the EU something like €12 per adult per annum to replace that. It's not a huge issue tbh.

are you sure - we just saw Boris talking about boom times and dividends from Brexit - JRM and Raab are the same - fortnight after we leave 100% employment surely - the main Brexit divvi will be the ability to close all those pesky Jobcentres.

I don’t see that angle at all, from the European perspective they have offered us deals, followed procedure, haven’t done much in terms of media, they have just sat back and let us fuck ourselves. I don’t see any negativity towards the EU on how they have handled it.if we did crash out this country would be in fighting and the EU would not get hardly any blame. They do want our money. They have only made one mistake and that’s not setting a final date both privately and publicly saying they will not extend.

Both sides are reticent to make that final decision.

If you crashed out of your own accord, yes. But once you've asked for extensions, political considerations come into play, one being that the ECJ won't allow any sovereign country to be kicked out of the EU.

It’s why they’re bricking it, there isn’t a quick way back for the Tories. They don’t have the deep rooted support that Labour has. If labour just made a decision to be a remain party a lot of their lost support would be back with them. They would dump the libs without a seconds thought. I think Labour can win or get a coalition if they went full on remain. Fortunately their leader is a bit of a shit house. I can’t believe he hasn’t grasped his one chance.

Their leader is why Hunt would be optimistic.

It’s a grey area if you have given an extension for us to sought ourselves out and a date has been agreed by both sides then if it lapses I wouldn’t say that is kicking us out, time lapsed.

If you ask and the EU refuses, with any kind of valid reasoning, such as a new PM, a GE or a second referendum though, it's impossible politically to refuse. As Macron was told recently.
