It can be improved without separating it from its historic roots. The replacement systems on offer have literally nothing to recommend them.As aided and abetted by our wholly anachronistic and inequitable political system.
Reallly? Turkeys don't vote for Christmas. It can be improved.
I like him, although I think I could be on my own on here. He’s a much smarter political operator than May, and a far better communicator. I reckon he’ll take Corbyn to the cleaners when they go head to head.TBF, I did not mention Tory Party members - I would be very surprised if there are more than a couple.
I said: "I would suggest that the majority of Leave supporters on BM are not established Conservative voters."
So my point stands - I would suggest that the number of Tory voters on here are a small minority and they do not all support Leave - also, I suggest that the number of people that are 'staunch Boris Supporters' = either zero or can be counted on one hand. I have no memory of seeing such staunch Boris posts.
In fact you support the point I was making - that a lot of Leavers on here are casually considered to be Conservative voters and/or Boris supporters - it is simply not true.
The real problem is the raw material, our rotting, ignorant, materialistic society gets the government it deserves.Reallly? Turkeys don't vote for Christmas.
It's a system from two centuries ago and the role wasn't even officially called Prime Minister until 1905. The monarch chose a minister to represent them and notionally still invites the winner to form a government. As aided and abetted by our wholly anachronistic and inequitable political system.
I have only one single positive that comes to mind when considering him - that he might just get Brexit done.I like him, although I think I could be on my own on here. Which is the only reason he has emerged and will be leader of the Conservative party and PM.
Like Farage/Brexit party, a result of parliament frustrating and stopping us leaving the EU to date.
In my opinion the chances of delivering Brexit with this Parliament are slim, because they will block no deal and the EU know it. However, I do believe Boris has credibility with Leave voters and is an effective campaigner so could deliver a Tory majority in the GE which would follow a further failure to leave the EU in October, then all bets are off. I’m not a Tory voter, in fact the last time I voted in a GE was for Tony Blair (to my eternal regret) and the only other times I’ve voted were for UKIP in 2014 because I wanted a referendum and for the Brexit party just recently because I want to see the result respected. I would however vote Tory in the next GE if Boris Johnson is the leader because that’s the key to delivering Brexit and I think a lot of Leave voters would follow suit, especially Labour voters in heavily Leave areas.I have only one single positive that comes to mind when considering him - that he might just get Brexit done.
I do not think so as I do think that we Leavers will end up shafted - but we are on track to be shafted anyway
If he gets Brexit done - then any other damage will be repairable and will have been worth it
So that is one poster that is positive about Boris. Don't mean to ask inappropriate questions but - Are you a Conservative Party member? Are you a Conservative voter? please only answer if that is not a problem

Lol, thanks for that, post editedHe has credulity alright.
I think you mean credibility.

Nah. Even Boris says if he doesn't get Brexit done the Tories are stuffed. It's his USP with the party - self-preservation. Has anyone come to his defence? Thanks - I think that you amply prove the point I was making - in my reply to BTNT
There is no significant Boris loving dyed in the wool conservative voting cadre on BM - so thy would there be an expectation for such a non-existent cadre to come to the defence of Boris following a clumsy interview?
just checking today...
