Man City TV Launched

In what way is that? I have both an early Amazon stick and an early Roku stick. The Roku has Now TV but Firestick doesn't, which is the only reason I bought it tbh, but I use it more than the Firestick because everything comes with Amazon and Netflix built in nowadays.
It looks like the more 'grey areas' of the Roku stick have been blocked by the developers, I found out most of that from 'Off Topic' on here as it happens. For me there didn't appear to be any upside for the Roku over the Firestick (YMMV)

Just subscribed and the email says they will charge my card £1 a month until cancelled. Thought it was 1.99?

I might add that I'll be using it on my PC monitor via a HDMI switched input so can use the PC for NowTV (and others).

Ok I see. Yeah, it is only really handy for NowTV to me, all the other apps I use are built in to the TV or set top box now.

Cheers for the info, but I still think it should be easily accessible to anyone who wants it. An app for mobile devices shouldn't be beyond our technical department.
Ah well, as Billy Shakespeare poetically put it "What a bloody palaver!"
Agreed, but each project is given a budget and then do analysis into the best way to get their project live. Assume they thought the quickest and most secure way was to do it this way, they'll most likely look at the success of it and then look into rolling out further. The costs encountered aren't just made up of development of the app, the maintenance of the app and scale of the service impacts directly on costs. So to keep it at £1.99 (mine actually says a quid!) monthly fee, some things have probably been compromised. If it performs well i can see them rolling out further and maybe increasing the price.

Im on FireTV. On the 2017/18 and 2018/19 premier league matches, if I click on view all then the no matches appear and the app freezes. Anybody else have this problem ?

I have an Android TV and added it onto there last night, overall quite impressed with it. There does need to be some updates though, navigation needs tweaking and for me on the Android TV i could not get the view of all the games from last season to load, but the ones on the main page loaded when i clicked on them, i'll retry this on my Nvidia Shield and LG TV tonight as it may be due to memory on the Android TV not being sufficient. I was impressed that they have got so much content on there, the ability to watch old games completely is brilliant.

Yep had the same on the android TV, thought it might be a memory issue with the TV but sounds like its connectivity with their data center maybe, i didn't have the patience to see if it eventually loads tbh.

Ah, thanks. Not just me then. I have mailed them so hopefully they can sort it soon.

Unfortunately most of the commentary I've come across is City TV. Also, it appears they're full games and not highlights.

Just watched the 1-6 and I've thought this previously, is the City TV commentator a Rag?

I think City will have only signed up to certain platforms atm.

No doubt there has been a lot of contractual negotiations going on behind the scenes before City TV was launched.

I don't understand most of these comments. I have a smart TV with the Amazon Prime app on it. Can I get Man City TV on it?
It's nothing to do with Amazon Prime. Unless your TV is an LG Smart TV or an Android TV then you can't watch it. If you have an Amazon Fire device, Roku device, Android box or an Apple TV box then you can watch on those.

Seems the Apple TV version is the most stable at the moment as I’ve had no problems with it and the interface is very smooth and quick. I also downloaded the LG Tv version to see if it was the same and unfortunately it is terrible in comparison to the Apple TV app.
Hopefully as the app matures and is updated there will be parity across the different platforms.
