Away tickets

Hi Mate I can't see this for tickets today anywhere!! I have been on line 3 times as i would have had some chance of qualifying if there were sales today. There is nothing on the website that this is sold out or changes in criteria?
same here, sat on 17k points but can’t see any change to yesterday’s criteria

If you log on to your account if you eligible the yellow bar on the West Ham game should be highlighted saying buy tickets
Yep, logged on but showing as “restricted sale” and nothing about 17.5 or 17k, just Monday 3pm 18k.

Why go if it is a chore then? So you don't miss out on points? Out of habit? I'm not having a go but am genuinely interested as in the days I used to do aways, I used to enjoy them even though we were shit back then.

I wouldn't ever describe watching City as a chore (these days!) but there's definitely been times where it's crossed my mind "what the fucking hell am I doing this for?" Most recent was after Spurs in the Champions League when the junction between the M25 and M1 was closed and I had to divert to the M40, I was driving past Oxford at 1 in the morning, in work the next day at 8:30, this game was sandwiched between Fulham away, FA Cup semi final and I came back down to go to Palace the following weekend.

And then there’s the 380 points for renewing and 200 for each of the 3 cup schemes which is 980. There’s 3 CL aways guaranteed plus we’d expect another 2 so that’s another 200, plus let’s say 5 away games in the domestic cups so that’s another 200.

So someone who did every away on the above assumption would earn 2140 points over the season.

Edit: Of course that was under the old system.

Last season, quick calculation 2280 points maximum, assuming Platinum.

Community Shield = 40
PL - 19 home (380), 19 away (760) = 1140
All 3 Cup schemes 200 x 3 = 600
FA Cup = 200 (2 home, 4 away or neutral)
League Cup = 200 (2 home, 4 away or neutral)
CL = 300 (5 home, 5 away)

They don’t no.

Just been going through twitter, and Supporter Services announced 17500 at 9am, 17000 at 12pm and 16500 at 3pm

Would help if they sorted out the website at the same time so you could actually buy them
I’m genuinely puzzled; a club with our resources cannot get its ticketing website updated and we, the supporters have to rely on one another for titbits of info such as that passed on (and gratefully received) here. I shouldn’t have to trawl the fucking website looking in some page or other. I should be able to log on and buy when I’m eligible.

Perhaps you should raise it with the CM rep?

Do we have any idea if it will go below 16500.

I’m guessing it won’t get to 15,000.

United corporates get around 10% of the away allocation in their ballot so that's 300 max. No idea how many members they have but it's probably close to twice as many as us.

Spurs, fans are unhappy as their corporate allocation has gone from 9% to 14% since the move.
Why have clubs not been pushing for bigger away allocations? Is it because the host club don't want to police a higher number of away fans? Or is it because they are the cheapest tickets? Or is it something else?

I'd guess that it doesn't suit either the home or away club. The away club don't make any money from away games and the home club would have to give up seats that it probably sold for more than £30 most of the time.

As I posted above, I go to occasional aways. If what you are asking is if I would benefit in a change of system away from points, then the answer is no. I manage to get to the aways that I want to and wouldn't go to more regardless. If I wanted to go to the bigger away games, then I am fortunate enough to be in a position where I could get tickets.

I would just prefer to see a fairer system in place.

I've been a supporter for 60 years, had a season ticket for 45 years, only missed a handfull of games in the last 11years. I have EARNED enough points to get a ticket for any game I wish to go to. And you don't think that's fair????

West Ham gone a bit lower than I thought it would. If we're to assume it's in part due to the changes city have made then its a positive start for supporters who obtain tickets & travel independently who are a little further down the ladder.

Could be that a 12:30 kick off in London is a pain in the arse kick off time though.
