Away tickets

I am probably one of the few people who don't think it is that big a deal re: Corporate - where as I agree the Supporters Club is antiquated and an unnecessary allocation (I am in a certain musicians fan club - we don't get any priority on tickets but I am still in it). The thing with Corporate (especially the expensive Corporate) is - if you pay 50k for some swanky box you do expect the odd perk. This amount of money they have paid at least pays for almost a week of Sane's wages (given he won't sign the improved contract), where as the season ticket money regular home and away fan Fred Bloggs pays probably pays for Sane to have a long dump after training.

The Club are always going to give away tickets to people who’ve bought boxes but they also give priority to people in Joe’s who’ve spent about 2k. Joe Bloggs going to every home and away game wont have much change out of 5k.

No one is disagreeing - corporate is a necessity to the success of the club, but it should be proportional. I don't remember the exact figures and don't want to guess, but I remember we were giving twice the number of tickets to corporate than United and Liverpool were.

Also, people in Joes and 9320 are paying more for their season tickets than I am, but to continue your analogy - the difference wouldn't afford Sane much additional shitting time.
Yes agree with that - interestingly Corporate isn't (so I believe) proportional to what you pay if demand outstrips the 15% they are given. 9320 don't get any tickets but Joes (at £2100/year for a ticket) do, so its possible the issue may actually be with those with just a few extra quid than most (2 or 3k per year) getting the priority.

True. Celtic away I was spared the queue in the rain, because on the official Thomas Cook coach, we were given our armbands en route. I did however get a thorough soaking on the way back because the coach was leaking (Karma maybe). I'm pretty sure on other official Thomas Cook flights we were also given our armbands on the plane.

I was on that coach mate but I was lucky, I stayed dry

Just listened to that Ian Cheeseman interview these people weren’t sure if it’s 10 or 20 points for away and if platinum was £50 or £60.

Not as many as you I'm sure.
maybe maybe not but my guess is about 15k. pathetic mard arsing wanting a ballot for all. there are plenty of blues with more points than me, for me to be awarded a ticket in place of them would be an absolute disgrace. i'm well in to the 20's for points so its no mither for me but ANY system that allows a tiket to go to someone on zero points over someone on say 17,18 or even 19k can not possibly be right.

We have far fewer corporate fans than Uinted but give a higher percentage of tickets to them, go figure?
United corporates get around 10% of the away allocation in their ballot so that's 300 max. No idea how many members they have but it's probably close to twice as many as us.

Spurs, fans are unhappy as their corporate allocation has gone from 9% to 14% since the move.

Yeah the guy did not know how much it cost and thought it was 10 points for an away.

It does not address the 3k rise in starting ticket points, rather then pretending it is 5% from across the board. IF the 5% wasn't from the loyalty point pot, why do they return there after the first day?

Shakhtar away the guy goes on about people buying tickets for points and half not turning up, but it was clary stated:

Supporters are advised, for this fixture, ticket points will be allocated to the supporter file within 5-7 days after the fixture following confirmation of stadium entry.

Therefore I seriously doubt the accusation that people bought for points without going, especially if they told they were not getting any points. It seems like anti-away regular propaganda, I am surprised it was repeated rather than questioned

The scare mongering about one fan selling away tickets on the "official website viagogo" and never goes home games is made up too. No official site for selling away tickets, so more anti away fan propaganda.

They also said it could be anyone from any ticket source, I seriously doubt sponsors paying £40m will accept that, it is daft to claim it.

They also got it wrong about not getting point from the Maine Road era. Amazing all these die-hard fans who just stopped before the system came in. The guy who only carried 1500 over must not have been to any home cup games either.

Loyalty Points were not introduced to encourage away attendance as suggested either, it was because demand was too high and to give a merit based system rather than having to queue up with 30 stubs or just the first in line which the stubs then tracking replaced.

I was sat one seat behind the aforementioned leaky window. In fact from memory, I was pissed wet through all day.
The only consolation was that despite all the insistence on ID and proof of payment, I was given my match ticket before we'd even left the ETIHAD Car Park

My mate Lou was sat right under the leak at the back of the bus

I'll add to this as it is totally missed by most. The bold bit. That was get to Maine Road about half four or earlier every other Saturday. All season.
Go home, fall asleep in the car, on the drive, wake up then drive back for the game that afternoon.
