We won't change so that is wishful thining,we are doing fine buying for the team not the billy bollocks players who expect to come in on kev level wages, the days of us paying anyone new what they want is over
You`ve only got to look at the car crash at OT whereby there was dressing room unrest with Sanchez on ridiculous wages.
As you say, nothing wrong with our structure plus some bloody big bonuses they also pay for continued success.

If even Bayern is willing and able to outbid us regarding salary perhaps we need to review and adapt our wagestructure. It seems to be the explanation why we cannot sign quite a few players these days (DeLigt for example). Whether we like it or not biggest money buys the best players and we seem to allow the cartel clubs to reestablish the old order where they would get the best players. Eventually they will overtake us again on the field if this continues.
Yikes

football does not run like that ?? and clubs should not be that daft to let it happen to a talent they have on their books, city are in the middle of upgrading his contract and sane has never come out and said he wants to leave, until he comes out and says he wants to leave then the ball is in city court
No. As G has stated, the ball is in Sané’s court. If he wants to extend his contract on terms acceptable to the club he will stay. If he doesn’t he will be moved on if an acceptable deal is on offer. Then we will buy someone just as good. I want him to stay but it’s not like we are short of wide players. Hell, I’d be happy with sticking with the three we have.

Exactly,i don't get why people don't or won't accept what we are doing is right for the business and the team,we are proving it time and time again

This,he was made the fall guy in too many games
No he wasn't, there were players who were in better form, even he said it when questioned.

This myth that Pep and he not getting on is made far too much of, he played 47 games for us, and 2062 minutes last season, compared with Riyad Mahrez 44 games 1860 minutes. Does Pep not get on with Mahrez ?

Its nonsense for people to even suggest that our structure is failing with our attempts to bring in players that are better than we already have.
If there was a problem why did at least 7 players extend their contracts ?
The only problem we have is clubs expecting us to pay ridiculous transfer fees.City are not ashamed to walk away from this.Nothing to do with salaries.

Don't buy the FFP stories for a second...we haven't had a big summer since 2017 and our current net spend this window is just under £44m with the potential of a few more outgoings to get that down to £35m or so.

The first part of the season he was subbed a lot and first like it was all his fault, then not starting,i can see why he is pissed off, what is going on between then we don't know but the signs have not been good for a while, pep told the team you know how critical i am of sane in the 30 days thing, that would seriously get on my nerves if someone was pecking at me all the time

Agree 100% but I'm sure you'll ruffle the feathers of the usual suspects.

If our players know they can get more money elsewhere then nine times out of ten they're going to head to the other club. It's got nothing to do with player's egos, it's just cold business.

yep spot on we should not sell him, but if wants out we have cover and maybe a top draw striker could be signed instead

The numbers are facts, nowhere has either said they aren't happy, and who can forget Pep lecturing Raheem after the cup final, pep is critical of everyone at some point, we've seen it many times, that's because he demands perfection from everyone.

You’re not his agent, perchance?
Just checking.:-)

Think the opening month will be interesting to watch as Sane, presuming he stays, should feature prominently and make his case stronger.
I truly hope so.

He's been part of some of the best football i've ever seen, from any team, ever. That Arsenal game where we were 3-0 up by half time, him, Silva and Aguero were just unplayable.

And some of the games where it would go, Ederson > Ferna > KDB > Sane > Goal, in about 5 seconds. Wow, just wow.

i believe city wages are right up there with the best, and i wonder if we have a big bonus set into them if we hit our targets and that is why we can keep our player happy, because they know under pep we win silverware and the rewards are coming if you keep on producing on the field, unlike united who have to pay way over the odds to keep their players happy or new signing coming in

That's fair enough but perhaps he needs handling slightly differently, does he do that?

Right but Pep's contract is up in a year and, even with having him as extra pulling power, certain players have decided to go elsewhere when better offers have come in. Luckily, it's worked alright for us so far but it will inevitably bite us on the arse at some point.

None of us know what the offers on the table are but if we're not matching Bayern's offer then, for me, that's a silly decision.

United overpay for shite, sure, but in doing so they're setting the standard for the industry like we did after the takeover. Same with the stupid fees they pay. It might not be correct value but those fees and wages become the norm.

^^^^^ He's right. Not while Pep is here, but when we come to get a "bog standard" manager rather than the superstar one we have now, our policy will HAVE to change if we want to dine at the top table.

Nonsense, the club is set up to run the same whoever the manager is,we have a young team growing together,we will continue to buy who fits and not for their name
