Josep is merely doing what he always does, because he knows that player power can’t be allowed to spoil his plans.

Sané will or he won’t, but Pep is not going to be held hostage by a punk ass kid. He is the best manager in the world and, like Fergie before him, knows that players can never FEEL like they have any upper hand over the manager or the team, otherwise it is mutiny.

Sané has a choice to make: Sign for the better team and far better manager and buckle down to become the best footballer he can possibly be OR go home to adulation, make his Mum happy and his Baby Momma less happy, and be beholden to others. Man or Son? His choice.

What worries me is that our transfer window shuts before the first game..when does the German transfer window shut..bayern could carry on this saga and really unsettle Leroy even more knowing that we can't buy a replacement as our window is shut...?..like many have said something has to be done soon, meaning a deadline so giving us time to buy a replacement..we dont need an unhappy player at the club

If Leroy goes so be it. We don't know what is going on behind the scenes and I refuse to believe that it is anything to do with the club as so many of our players have committed their prime years to us with their new contracts I can't see why the club would treat Leroy differently. I love watching Leroy play but if we can't reach an agreement with him then we have to move on, these things happen. Hope he stays but I can accept it if he leaves.

I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if he doesn't get replaced.

I think Pep will see it as an opportunity to give Mahrez more games, and probably more importantly long-term, Foden the games he needs.

I like him, but honestly am fine with Gabby getting more time as well as Mahrez hopefully continuing his progression here. I think Jesus in that say role may suit him better than out Iand out the #9.

Maybe its about time the club told Leroy if he hasnt made a transfer request by this weekend he is going nowhere for at least another twelve months , he will have to buckle down and justify a starting place for Pep ,because we hold all the aces .He has two years left on his contract and he is on peanuts compared to some players in the squad , and if he wants to miss out on a proposed contract we have offered (worth allegedly another £50-75k a week) then thats his decision , he can stay on his current deal until we say he can leave. The German Rags dont get a say in it , we decide where Leroy plays next season.

Don’t know if it’s been posted, but not totally significant but having watched the video of the players during a training match in Japan unless I’m going blind didn’t notice sane amongst the players, obviously as I said could be nothing at all like he could be resting a knock, anyhow back on topic I hope he stays and signs a new contract,if he fancies a move to the shithouses of Munich I hope we get what we consider a right and proper fee surely anything over the £100 mill mark ...
You can see him here around the 4:30 minute mark

I think Mahrez might have a very good season coming up. Hoping so anyway. If Leroy wants to go then fine.

Horses for courses.

Pep doesn’t believe that 2018/19 Sané was the player he needed to put in a CORRECT SHIFT FOR THE TEAM, so he didn’t play that much. That was down to Leroy.

Now, Prp clearly knows Leroy CAN BE a world class player, but he can’t show it in three flashes, every other game, and twice on Sunday, it has to be all the time. There are too many high quality players we can play who WILL PUT IN A SHIFT if Leroy doesn’t!

For me, it is all mental. Pep believes in ball control and then devastation in the final 20 meters. Leroy simply gives the ball away too often, doesn’t use it to full effect too often, and doesn’t exploit his superiority over his opponent often enough.

When he goes those things, he looks like he is walking on air and in full flight he is unplayable. The problem is the other 88 minutes!!

Last season, we saw glimpses of Leroy chasing down opponents and winning the ball back, but we also saw full on sulky, don’t give a fuck, flick here, flick there, Leroy, who you know is going to get yanked!

To me, he needs to take a lead out of Sergio’s book (or Raheem’s or Bernardo’s). Sergio is the best goal scorer we have ever seen in a sky blue shirt. He is a certified GLOBAL legend for what he has done, yet in his 30’s, he is working harder than ever, both with AND WITHOUT the ball. Pep has taken a player who was already a 10/10 and made him better!! There is a lesson in there for every player, but none more do than Leroy.

I hope he learns it, but I’m afraid it looks like he will choose the “easy” option of returning to Germany to play for the perennial champions, make his Mum happy and get lots of adulation. It is certainly an intoxicating prospect, and I’m sure the pressure is intense, but I just feel like it would be a better footballing education to sign another 5/6 year deal at City and THEN move, if he wants to, as he will be reaching his prime 28-31 age range and can ride off into the sunset with a Bosman wad in his back pocket as well.

I’d venture that if he leaves, it will have zero overall effect on this squad, even without his goals and assists, because they will simply come from someone else. I hope we don’t have to find out, but I fear we will.
