New season tho ain’t it. They’ll still get a couple of players in to tighten their defense and more than likely a better forward than Lukaku

Chelsea can’t sign anyone and as much as I like Lampard that’s one huge gamble and a mistake imo by Chelsea

As much as Frank is still largely unproven as a manager, it’s clear that the rent boy is absolutely clueless. All we ever hear from him is how great the rags were in the '90s and how much he likes licking the pisscan's ring.

Chelsea still have some very talented players and if Frank and his staff can get the best out of them, they might surprise a few people.

Here’s hoping, anyway.

I don't get the narrative of lukaku being shit. His goal tally is very impressive. What went on last season has more to do with the poison that is seeping through the shit stained club.

That creeping hand looking Ogden said they had 100m to spend. Thus far it looks like his info was good. What happened to other clubs dreaming of what you can do Ed?

To me he is not a 'footballer' in the true sense of the word, he's a throwback to the old hoof and hope days: Allardyce and Pulis would have him in their teams in a heartbeat.
But the game has progressed beyond all recognition and the stuff that the likes of Wimbledon were doing 30-odd years ago would be so out of place now - despite the likes of Maureen, Colin Wanker and Sean Dyche all doing their level best to prove otherwise.
Lukaku is physically intimidating, but that's all he is: big and powerful, while the trend nowadays is for players with a bit of guile, intelligence, and footballing nous.

When he was at Everton he wasn't as big and bulky as he is now, but even then I always thought he was nothing out of the ordinary: he was adequate. But in the last year or so he's beefed up way too much and as a result he's lost what little finesse he once had.

Brilliantly put. What I wanted to say, but you've expressed it a 1000 times better than I could.

He still scores goals though and he does score against the top teams. What I said was its the rags that has made him look shit. They do not know how to play him.
I agree with your point. He's good. He's misused though.

Even though he's massive, his play style is more akin to the small, nippy striker. Like Defoe. He plays on the shoulder, and likes to rely on positioning and off the ball movement. He enjoys running with the ball. Amongst other things.

But because he's built like a house Mourinho played him like he was a traditional big man and screwed him up. And Solskjaer didn't have the sense of mind to undo that. He'll be a goalscoring machine if he goes to Inter.

When Lukaku plays for Belgium he looks a decent player , but he has Hazard and KDB pulling the strings , when playing for the Rags he's got Lingard and Rashford , just no comparison , if he isnt getting the service or a team is not playing to his strengths then he has not got a chance of replicating his form for his national team.

These 2 snippets from the BBC website's gossip page

Now know Bacon is still running the show and pulling Ole's strings.....

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson wants the club to sign Aston Villa'sScottish midfielder John McGinn - whose granddad is a close friend of Ferguson. (Sun)

Clearly Leicester are onto something here regarding the potential Maguire sale. lol

The Foxes want United to pay a greater percentage of an £80m fee up front because they are not convinced they would receive add-ons for Champions League qualification. (Mail)
