I think Pep wants to keep a committed Leroy Sane, but is not interested in keeping an unhappy player.

Nevertheless in these circumstances, I think it will be telling is Sane is in the squad. If he was on his way, I'd drop him. If he features, I think he stays.
 
Pep wouldn't play a player, Sane, who might be leaving City in a Week's time. Pep does not do that. He wants 101% committed players.

And Bayern won't pay X (€100mill) for a player who might get injured in a pre-season friendly. Which it isn't really, as it's against the Scousers.

They all know the score, Sane was told he can go only if BM offer the full valuation and that until they do he is playing for City.

As of right now he is playing for City and will play on Sunday. There is very little chance this changes before the close of the window - BM are not going to get close to the asking price and we all know this.

We won't sign a replacement if he leaves according to various City sources, so timelines won't have that much effect. Though I can't see us letting this this saga loom into the start of the season and potentially causing any distractions, so we've set a deadline of next week to have this all sorted.

Don’t forget they employ people to do their social media accounts for them. I doubt any of our players have posted a single picture or comment themselves since being at the club.

As always...

I'm just grateful we have such a well run club. There will always be players who think the grass is greener or players who the manager doesn't fancy. How often these things arise gives you an indication of the way the recruitment and wage structure is working and how clubs handle these situations is very telling in terms of the competence of the management. Look at PSG and Neymar, or Bale at RM or half the squad at the rags.

If Sane goes then we will still have the best squad in the league and will have a free space on the squad list and 100k euro + in the bank.
 
Really confusing this situation and changes daily.

Today it looks like we are willing to sell Sane to Bayern (my interpretation of us telling BM to calm down rather than get lost)

Don’t sell BM anyone they are our number 1 enemy with all the FFP stuff and could well be number 1 in the CL too. If he is unhappy sell to a different club even if it means we get a bit less.

If we sell Sane without replacing him it could easily be the difference between winning the league and finishing second. 10 goals and 10 assists aren’t easily replaced. Plus the fact that Sane is our most effective player against Liverpool, who finished 1 point behind us, partly due to Sane’s winner.
 
Munich acting like ****s in an attempt to weaken us.

They can get fucked. Bring them on the 2nd round of the champions League and we'll batter them more than Schalke.

Fabrizio Romano: sane in advanced talks with bayern. Maybe why cancelo talk picked up pace.
 
Sadly if he’s off he’s off. No one bigger than the club. Struggle to see why anyone would leave, but I’m a manc fan, not a German national.
We have no idea what Munich and the national team have said to him, but easy to guess.

Personally think he’s being badly advised, he’s in a team on the verge of reaching its peak, but if he wants off, Get decent money, wish him well and hope Munich don’t see the best of him.

Forgot about Mendy haha

But when Walker’s Twitter feed was having a dig at Liverpool last season, it came out he was fuming as the person he employs to run it had posted it.
