Deal agreed with Bayern Munich for Leroy Sane - €60m (including add-ons)

It will all come to an end come Sunday.

If Sane plays he isn't going anywhere if you ask me.

It's too late in the window now anyway, Bayern have stalled for too long and left us with a week to find a replacement if they were to buy him now.

No way will we allow that to happen, and Sane will know that too.

Was he in training today?

If he has told the club he wants to leave I can't imagine Pep entertaining him unless he's staying.

Unless something has changed in the last 24hrs and Sane left training yesterday and said he's off then it's all bollocks.

Sane doesn't appear to have told anyone anything. If he had made any contact with Pep he would be nowhere to be seen. As it is it looks like Pep is preparing the team for him to start at the weekend.

Pep will not keep a player here if he has told the club he wants to leave.

Neither will he sell him on the last day of the transfer window.

If he wanted to leave, he could have done so. He can in winter or next summer, when Bayern will do this again if no contract signed, so we may put him up for auction in that case.

You often see Sergio on the left wing, do you? I must be watching different games.
I think the way we set up is more based on the creation of space at given moments rather than just static positioning. So Sergio tends to roam a lot more these days and not just out wide but also tends to pop up all over the place. The positioning for Sane seems to be more conventional and he tends to stick very close to the sideline a lot of the time. The way we press can also lead to players ending up in different positions then they normally reside in. So while we have a general form and structure there is more fluidity than most teams which leads to a large amount of interchange.

"I don't want to buy a player for 80 or 100 million. But if you want to keep up with Manchester City, Liverpool or Barcelona, then you sometimes have to do things that I don't like,"

So if they are planning on bidding for Leroy , are they:

A: more likely
B: less likely

To get him, by bidding this week rather than weeks ago ?

“We are a football club. We have reached a limit with €80 million, and I don’t think that we’ll exceed that in future transfers.” Uli Hoeness.

“We’re not playing Monopoly here,"

Pretty much all of my posts are saying I don't believe City will allow Bayern, to take the piss, in reply to people who think we are Southampton.

No club has ever taken a senior player from City against our wishes.

If You really think if pep really wants Sane and sane doenst want to leave we would sell you living in cloud cuckoo land

We're allegedly not signing a replacement, so it doesn't matter when he's sold, assuming it falls within the English deadline so not to cause any disruption during the start of the season.

How the fucking hell have you managed to work out that is what I meant?

I honestly can't understand how that post can be so completely misunderstood especially along with everything else I've posted in this thread.

They didn't bid because they haven't had an indication from Sane that he wants to join. As they've said, time and time again.

What's hard to understand about that? If they're now making an official approach, it means that he's given them a come and get me plea.

Hoenness doesn't like paying his taxes, either. Hence his spell in the klink, the bent bastard.

Probably C:As Likely.

Bayern are in a shit position here, Leroy has led them on a merry little dance. They cannot go into the season without a winger, but they want him, and he's just delayed and delayed and delayed to the point where I think they will start making us offers before nailing him down in the hope that City agreeing to sell might push Sané off the fence.

I don't think we are going to replace him this window if he goes, I think that died when the Joao Felix price went over €100m in June, so the decision is, does Pep mind going into the season without Sané and without a replacement? If the answer to that was no, this would have been all over weeks ago. If the answer is yes, then Sané leaving 3 weeks ago or in 1 weeks time doesn't make much of a difference.

Ultimately I think City's position is to wait this out, let Leroy umm and ahh about it and try to run Bayern out of time.

The only players who could realistically replace his ability at his age are Mbappe and Sancho, end of. Other players who are around 27/28 - Neymar, Salah, Mane, Hazard, at an absolute push Son and Insigne. We would not sign any of these players for less than £150- £200 million.

Who sells a 22 year old world superstar winger for £90 million in this market??? Sane should cost around £150-£175 million and we should not accept under market value for any reason what so ever, especially from this self righteous arrogant club. Why give them bargain of the century because they are Bayern Munich, a club that does nothing but moan and slag us off. If it were me I'd tell them you can pay £225 million or get to fuck.

They aren't.

Various sources suggest otherwise.

The only thing we've heard from a reliable City source today is that they haven't made an official offer, that doesn't mean that they aren't about to and are currently in negotiations with the club and or player.

You can bury your head in the sand about this mate, but something is afoot. Sane may well still be with us next season, but there's also a good chance he isn't.

Unless Bayern are ****s of course & are going to do this over & over until Leroy signs & new deal or City sell him.

You think this ends when the window shuts then ?

No they don't

Just one.

No newspapers here reporting anything other than that there are no bids.

Actually if he plays, it means City are serious to keep him which should drive the price up.
