The only player Pep ever treated differently was Messi, Leroy is not Lionel Messi.

It's very obvious he's extremely hard on Leroy.

Team not playing well- pull Leroy off the field.

Someone plays a ball between Leroy and Zinchenko that's 50/50/....Leroy's fault and not the passer(this happened late in the season and there's no way you could blame Leroy and not the passer)

It's very obvious.

People can defend Pep all they want and point to his success- but the two things are and can be completely different points of discussion. People acting like Sane didn't have an input in the stretch when he carried us in stretches the year prior. We could lose an absolute world class player here.

All this bid nonsense is coming from the German media which I suspect is a ploy to see how Sane reacts as well as the club. Personally I think Leroy is using this 'interest' as leverage to negotiate a better contract with us. Still think he will sign a new contract with us which will increase his basic wage hugely as well as his bonuses and image rights. If its about money we could if we wish blow Bayern out of the water, if it's about a football challenge there is no contest between the two leagues. Can they offer a better lifestyle, I doubt it, will he play with better players or be managed by a better coach? No. So why would he leave?

When your argument revolves around telling Pep Gusrdiola how to do his job differently, you've lost.

He'll choose to leave if he doesn't fit in imo.

And that would make perfect sense for him & for us.

Bayern are trying to force the issue & even if they do bid, it will be a low one imo, just to try & unsettle him for the season & tempt him to leave if he isn't in the team regularly.

If Sané says he wants out City need to get rid ASAP for as much as possible. Once his head is gone so will his game.

Personally hope he stays long term because he has the potential to be an absolute star.

From Sam Lee..

I’ve been told City don’t wanna sell Sane and that it may be like Gundogan - they’ve decided he won’t be sold this summer even if he doesn’t sign the contract. But I need to confirm it.

Sounds promising. Decent news imo

Would be exactly how a well run club would operate.

I was hoping he would be back from holiday soon ,gundy has 1 yr left sane 2yrs so we could still get a good price for leroy next summer, hope it's true

It's not so much about the money but whether Pep would want to work with a player who prefers to be elsewhere. It might seem a minor detail for fans whether a player looks happy to be at the club but for Pep it seems quite a big thing.

Been thinking for all you who are unsure what Leroy will do. You are a City fan who knows what end of a football to kick ,you get signed up by a decent club, say, Wolves and you make a name for yourself. Then a big club in a European country comes in for you. You sign, win a shed load of trophies, but do not figure in all their games, then with your contract running down ,alright it's still 2 years, City come courting with a great offer. What would you do, I think I might be interested. Just a thought.

If we can get 98 points without KDB for practically the entire season, we can win the league without Leroy. We just adapt and play to other players’ strengths. It’s like thinking we’d be fucked after Yaya left, after Zab left, after Vinnie leaves, when Silva leaves. We won’t be. And we sure won’t be fucked after Leroy leaves either.

So long as a couple or other players don't pick up injuries.

And we decide not to chase all 4 of course

Oh everyone knows about it. It's endless.

Nice lad though, he intends no malice...

Anyway, Leroy, wtf are we even thinking?? He has every opportunity to lay his marker down this year and in turn become one of the highest paid players at the club... I personally think it’s showing a slight flaw in his character. Sterling is a perfect example to him, with a self belief to reach the very top, which was rewarded in kind, does Sané have this?? It’s looking like, and tbf I’ve heard murmurings, that he doesn’t have the stomach....

For me, he has the potential to be the best attacker in Europe, however, those who reach the top do so by graft. From a club perspective, I think this opens us wide open, we haven’t been chased down for one of our players in a decade and it will be interesting to see the potential impact the sale could have....

Which is why, if he goes, we make sure it is us choosing to sell, not us caving in.

If you were looking in from outer space you’d swear the player he has the biggest problem with is Sterling. After him it’s Aguero. What him focussing on these players has done is elevate them to new heights. In Sterling’s case he's reached heights I didn’t think he had in him. What’s more, he looks like he’s got even more improvement in him. If Leroy wants a piece of that I’m sure it’s available to him; he just has to decide what he wants.

Who said he was going to leave? This is paper talk and Bayern doing what the rags used to do when they were bullying clubs into selling there players on the cheap. Only difference being is that we are much better than Bayern and going to them would be a step backwards. I have no idea what's going through his head maybe he was a Bayern fan as a kid or more likely flattered by their interest who know
