That's a ton of money, but they can obviously afford it and it'll make United much better. Great job by Leicester though.
 
They obviously needed a centre half but I refuse to believe that there isn’t better out there and available for that sort of money

I also keep reading and hearing that he’s coming into his prime. Maybe so, but who exactly is going to coach him at United?

According to the reporter on sky news they've seen off City for Maguires signing but they’re had to spend a lot of money to do it. Apparently the fee was only so high because United have to pay a premium because, well it’s Man United

At least they can brief all the "United beat City to..." headlines.
 
MEN were saying just a few hours ago that we were "hopeful of a breakthrough" on Maguire. Proves just how much they know. Which i fuck all.

That's an insane price.
 
Have to say that even though i think he's a decent player, i'm pretty shocked that Leicester got a full £85m for him. In light of the fact Woodward kiboshed this move 12 months ago because he didn't think Maguire was worth £50m, you'd have to say it's heartening to see United are still all over the place with regards to transfer strategy.

Looks like Leicester will bring in Dunk for £40m now and I don't think they'll be significantly weakened. They'll be pretty happy to have £45m + Dunk for Maguire.
 
He is a good player and Pep was interested so that confirms it as he wouldn’t have been otherwise. Good signing for them unfortunately. Lot of money but fans don’t care about that.

He may be a good player but how many times have we said ‘he’s a good signing who will improve them’ and they keep going backwards?.

There’s a lot more wrong at that club than just the players. Maguire won’t solve anything.
