We ain’t getting anywhere near 137m
But I think we’re effectively shutting down Bayern’s we only have 80m stance
We’re saying put up or fuck off
It’s like maguire, we will tell Sané he can go if they pay up otherwise tough shit
He is worth every bit of that in todays market,if bayern want him then pay up,the brief is if he wants to leave AND we get our valuation met

They dont need Sane to win there league and they can go another season without winning the champs league if they can get sane cheaper! Anyway we wait and see if they want to spend that much.
They actually do need to sign at least one winger to win their league. They're a mess at that position at the moment.

Is the correct answer.

Why would we say £137m+ only to accept say £80m and then look like complete dickheads? One thing we can say about our club is that it is well run, by professionals who know what they are doing, not a bunch of amateurs. And that would be amateurish in the extreme.

No, the £137m was genuine and it was measured. It doesn't say "Sané is not available for sale at any price", since that would be untrue. If that was the case, we would have said so. It says, "Ok Bayern, if you're that desperate, you can have him for £137m". Of course at the fees being asked, we fully, 100%, expect them to shut up. Which ultimately they will do.

I think £100m with 10 to 20m more in add ins or no deal. Bayern are a bit desperate to do this deal so we need to push them hard. Besides they have behaved like c***s from the outset.

Sorry waspish but I'm guessing you don't watch much Bundesliga if you think they can lose Robben, Hummels and Ribery and still beat a Dortmund side that finished 2 points behind them and has strengthened significantly.

They are irrelevant in the CL right now, which hurts their bottom line a lot, and they'll struggle to win the league without Sané, not least because their only 2 wingers are both injured currently and both have never spent a full season fit.

We will see watched them the other day they looked very good.

Getting closer to celebration this and i can brag on twitter about our net spend trophy we might get if we sell Sane.

JFC, it's not that difficult. Sané leaving means Sterling and Bernardo are going to be the wingers, which means Foden plays more in the middle, rather than Bernardo being in the middle with Sane and Sterling on the wings.

Bernardo played in the middle out of necessity due to Kevin’s injury. With KDB hopefully back that means there are still 3 midfielders ahead of Foden. Which is the same number as it was last season considering Kevin was out for the whole season. Sane leaving makes very minimal difference to Foden’s time.

It did occur to me that I have criticised clubs like Spur's and Liverpool and the press for not picking up on the impact a selling club(and agents) has on transfer market inflation. Then again if that's what it takes for them to recognise it(if we do sell Sané for £130m+), it might be good thing for football. If they do criticise City, can they then really turn a blind eye when Spurs or Liverpool want to sell off Salah/Kane for a massive amount, when they need some funds?

Exactly. Bernardo on the right, Sterling on the left, Foden in the middle (if/when he is ready).

Otherwise, with Sterling and Sane on the wings and Bernardo in midfield Foden's chances are limited.
Sterling left
Mahrez right
de Bruyne, Bernardo, Silva then Foden middle

Take our time with Foden, he’s nowhere near yet

Our record sale would be over double our record purchase. They'd have to stop accusing us of inflating the market at the very least

They should stop now so I doubt they will change their tune, our record signing is the lowest fee of all the top 6(joint with Spurs?). My point was I myself have pointed out that selling clubs and agents share as much of the blame for market inflation(through greed), will they wake up to this if City finally make a fortune by selling a prize asset?

If this transfer happens like that(although I'd like him to stay, are people forgetting he's got a City tattoo on his back?) I hope they do because maybe UEFA will address agents and selling clubs, it doesn't benefit City that the prices are so high that's for sure. It would also confirm what massive hypocrites they are, by only waking up to it when they have a chance to criticise City for something, yet again.

I agree.

My point was about why we shouldn’t be calling Sané a snake (like we’re a bunch of whiney Scousers) like the previous poster said he was going to start doing.

Sané is just a bloke doing a job that happens to be a footballer. He’s going to work where he wants. (As gutted as I’ll be if he goes)
I agree entirely with your sentiments.
Will be a shame if he goes but the old adage "life still goes on" as it will at City.

I honestly think he's been gone since around Feb / Mar when Pep just wasn't using him. Said as much in one of the match day threads. I also think that Pep isn't really that bothered if he's going.

Pep not bothered? Of course he’s not
1) It weakens the squad
2) He looses the opportunity of working with one of the best young talents
3) It strengthens a ECL rival
