Now we have female referees and assistants. Do you think there will come a time when we have mixed professional teams. So instead of a mens and ladies manchester city team for example, it will be all amalgamated into one.

Doubt it, the genetics are too heavily weighted in favour of the lads. How many women would make it into the average XI? 1? Not enough. Can't think of a mixed sex sport where there isn't some form of handicap.

It worked fine for the soccer aid game, the women held their own,it'll never happen in the prem because the FOC's in the suits wouldn't let it,several of our womens team could play with us,it won't happen anyway, too much misogine(sp) to let it happen

I like to think that one day all the leagues would be blind to gender. Let the best women play at any level they can. More at the lower leagues than the top but what harm.

I’d still have a women’s only league though for those who can’t make it.

No, watching he women’s World Cup, it was almost a different sport. The worlds best women would be struggling to make it into a conference side and why would they want to do that when they can achieve a much higher status in the women’s game?

Not to derail the thread but let’s say a very good male premier league footballer, decided they identify as a woman, would they be allowed to continue playing for their club? I’m guessing they’d be restricted to the gender you’re born as so the answer would be yes but what if they wanted to move over into the woman’s game where they’d likely dominate. would that be allowed?

The women’s game should make their nets smaller. That would make a better game

Won't happen, if for no other reason than it would show what a bunch of soft cock diving pricks so many of the men have become

Will never happen.

The best women's national teams struggle to compete with 15-16 year old lads, the strength and speed difference, it's like watching a different sport.

Totally agree. Each to their own but its not for me.

If there was no separate women's game, the very best women would improve massively by having to compete with men, and given enough time, you would probably get one or two playing at a pretty high level. The level of female participation would plummet though, as all the junior teams would be dominated by boys after the age of about 11.

If it changed tomorrow, the current US women's team would be hurt the most - they might be making a lot less money than the men now, but most (if not all) of them wouldn't even be professionals in a mixed game environment.

No chance.

Even with 50 more year’s development with them in the game (because let’s face it, they’re bobbins at the moment!), they won’t be able to compete physically with the men.

they couldnt compete against men at that physical level,'''but''' it would not surprise me in the slightest if the FA or whoever brings in a rule sometime that every side must include 2/3 woman in the starting 11
