Today's shooting in America thread

That link has a box in the middle of the page asking me if I want to add garlic festival shooting as an interest?! That’s a bit fuckin wrong isn’t it
 
I see almost the exact same split in American society that I see in ours. On both sides of the Atlantic there are those that believe in myths, flag-waving and simple solutions. Up against them are those who believe in logic, evidence and expertise. Neither side understands the other. The first difference is that in America it's far easier to buy a gun and take your frustrations out by shooting people. The second difference is that over there the main myth believed in is a perverted form of "Christianity". But fundamentally, I don't think there's much difference. Both countries are up to their neck in shit and currently led by baboons, albeit the British baboon is capable of reading books.
 
Generally speaking us Brits perceive the United Statesians as being thick as pig shit when it comes to guns. The fact that they're still able to own/buy these things without so much as a second glance merely confirms our assumptions. They're probably never going to change and will continue to pedal the myth that their country's crime and gun culture is all because of those pesky immigrants - especially the Mexicans. Once that wall's built all will be well again. What a mess.

Is it terrible that I’m hoping it’s some loner ‘line wolf’ white guy? One just knows that if he’s brown or Hispanic, Trump and Fox are going to be all over it for political gain.
 
Mall has a Walmart, too, a company which remains one of the largest retailers of firearms in the United States.

Appalling loss, yet again.
 
But again it boils down to why should the rest of the world care? The fix is in the hands of the US people who time and time again allow the gun lobby to rule politics and cut down any challenge to gun ownership. If the non gun owning or gun owning but in favour of controls majority cannot get their act together this will just keep happening.

What's just boiled my piss was the first question in the press conference.
"Do you think the shooter has mental issues?"

Had the shooter been a man of colour...


Lets see how Trump plays this one if its proven he's a racist ****.

The damage from today's shooting has been mitigated by thoughts AND prayers from Dumb Donald, Moscow Mitch and the rest of the politicians owned by the NRA.

It's also been pointed out that this could have been much worse as the shooter was a white Trump supporter and not a black person or Muslim. If it had been somebody who wasn't white there would have to be laws passed and religious bans but as it is we're cool.
 
Worrying that eye witnesses are saying on news channels there maybe more casualties as victims are scared of going to hospital in case ICE agents are there.

That cheeto faced **** has a lot to answer for.
